I was given unfair charges by the Woolwich but have subsequently closed that account (it was an account tied in with my mortgage but I've now tarted my mortgage)- can I still try to get these charges back?Fat and proud lol0 -
update:
i went down to the HSBC branch and explained my situation, she says that she will refund the charge just this one, i was armed with the information in the article anyway but didnt use it, i was calm, polite, thanked her and walked away, so it works to see someone at your branch.
she said it will be debited and credit the same day the charge is taken from my account.
thanks to those who helped0 -
Hi, I sent off the DPA letter requesting any time when hsbc have intervened on my account on 25th sept. Had all my statements back plus the £10 postal order saying they are happy to waive any fees for this info. That them tryin to act all nice u think? Had a look at my fees and they totalled £426. Is it the leter giving them 14 days next?0

I sent mine to my local branch and it found it's way to the right people. If you're interested, my reply came from:
Lloyds TSB customer service recovery team
3rd Floor
125 Culmore Row
Birmingham B3 3SF
I sent my 1st letter on 16th June, and Lloyds TSB have entered a defence today, day 28 of my claim through moneyclaim online. My case seems to have gone further than most that I have read of, how many of you have got to this stage with Lloyds TSB? and has anybody not got their money back?0 -

I'll send my letter to that address then.

sorry to be dumb but i know they will FOB ME OFF if i dont word it correctly0 -
Hi,
Can someone clarify something for me please?
I sent the first letter to the bank requesting that it send me all the information it holds about me, including the details of all bank charges applied to my account.
The bank sent me a copy of all my statements but no letters detailing any of the charges. In fact, in their letter they state that they are under no obligation to record information on manual intervention on my accoutnand therefore are unable to help me.
Does this mean I need to go through what amounts to 100s of statements and try to spot the charges?
Any help will be much appreciated!
GailMoney can't buy you happiness, but it sure helps!0
