Good afternoon,
I sent NATWEST my first letter last friday and I got a letter back from them this morning stating that the Office of fair tradings findings were in relation to credit cards and didnt contact natwest at any time and they believe there charges are fair and they wont be refunding, it also mentions that the charges were published in my agreement with them.
is this a standard letter?
what do i do now do i now send the the LBA straight away or leave it?

Last week I sent first letter to Nat west and today have got confirmation that I am being refunded £95. This is on a closed account. Over the years I'm sure they had hundred's off me but this was over 6 years ago & I closed the account because of the charges.
Many thanks to all on this site so far I've had over £3000 back from various places and still have £3000 that I'm chasing.0 -

Hi everyone, I have been trying to claim back charges since mid july. It is against Abbey, it has taken me this long to get the information out of them going down the delaying routes, fobbing me off. I have collated all the charges since my account opened in 2003. I have threatened court action twice now and am getting ridiculous replys such as " we are trying to understand your problem, this will take time "....etc...etc. The last letter I sent last week had the finite amount I was claiming...around £500 and for the second time saying I would take this to court if my refund was not imminent. Their reply was " we are sorry you feel the need to complain our team is investigating " ...... I am really sick of it now.....what do I do next guys?.....
since posting this Abbey have refunded £300 into my bank account, not the full amount but I am happy I don't have to actually start the court proceedings ! FEELS GREAT ! Thanks to Martin and all who are invloved in this fantastic site.......KEEP GOING it's worth it in the end!.0 -

HELP! I'm really stuck!
I sent a letter my local branch of HSBC on the 21st Sept requesting re-payment of my charges (£798.00) - by recorded delivery.
To date, I still have not received a reply. What do I do now?! Do I send them a letter or go through the online court process?
From what I've read previously, I was rather hoping that HSBC would reply with offer of payment like they've done for others!!0
