Found the letter, i will have to change the last paragraph as they took so long to make an offer i have already started the court proceedings, should i word it like..
...i have given you 28 days notice that i would be seeking legal action unfortunately this time has passed and i have already started the court process prior to your offer, where you will incur further costs and interest, i do regret this situation but you will receive no further contact from myself.
hi,
i think you may have the wrong letter, so
no dont word it like that
this is the one you want, allthough you may need to change the 14 days to 28 by the sounds of your post.
please post on cc as it is far easier to answer and helps both yourself others and myself to help you and keep a record of what stage you are at, obviously post here as well if you wish to let peole know how you are doing

My bank charges stemmed to a whopping £200 in total(okay so alot of you think that's not such a big deal, but as I have no money that is alot to me) from Natwest, stemming from being 84 pence, yes that's correct, 84p overdrawn back in may. As I had not used my bank since then, except to pay in some money in july, I had no idea what had happened, as it was August I found the true extent of how quickly Natwest shunted me into debt. Okay so I had arranged for two cheques to be paid out in July and August... which the money I added to my account in July would cover, only Natwest stole that money, bounced my cheques, throwing me into further debt.
Anyway it was a happy ending, after seeing Martin on GMTV a while back, I recalled him saying that if you had incurred over £100 in bank charges, you should make the effort to get it back. So after many phone calls, and an appointment with an advisor at the bank, Natwest agreed to refund my money.
Only they wanted to close my account too, clearly Natwest don't want customers who fight back, so beware people. They gave me a basic step account in the end, which is what I want anyway, interest is low, but I don't care, I'd rather have an account where I get treated fairly, than one that steals my money over PENCE.
My advice- fight back people. don't let them win. Take it all the way, it will be worth it in the end. Don't let the pre-Robin Hood days burden us again. This is how the banks make their money, by taking it from people who don't have any. Make your voice heard.:T Hail Kipper, and hail fluffynit for their endless hard work on the competitions board!:T0 -

Is it possible to claim compensation on bank charges that I am trying to reclaim, I noticed Martin commented on someone getting 600% as well as charges refunded, any more info on that?

hi, compensation claims are hard to prove, and the one Martin refers to is the first claim which was actually lost in court however when an appeal was made the banks settled with a confidentiality payment. it can be done but you will struggle to prove any compensation is due.0 -
loads of interesting reading on https://www.consumeractiongroup.com - if you're skeptical, scroll to the top of their web site, and check out bank survey results and see just how much people have claimed back so far.0
