Claimed DD charges back off natwest. It was only £38 but it was £38 better off in my pocket than theirs! :j They said their charges were fair but as a gesture of goodwill they will refund me my money  :rotfl: :T

    Thanks Martin!

definately better in yours than their's ;)
  • Right my statements came this morning there was bloody loads of them all stuffed ina big brown bag.

    No here is the Q.

I have an advantage Gold account with Natwest and for all the lovely privleges that you get with that account (which i never use) you pay about 8-10 pound a month.

anyway each month it lists it as a charge like all of the dodgy ones but its for like £8 and its and obviously I cant claim this but in the past when i have not had the money in the bank to pay the monthly fee it just says Charge £20 which i guess includes the fee so do I just claim the difference?? there is a hell of a lot of these ones!!

    cheers
  • Hi everyone

I am trying to claim charges back from the A/L. I sent in the initial letter with a £10 cheque 43 days ago. The cheque has been banked by the A/L but I have not heard anything. What should I do now? There is no template letter on http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/

I assume that there is at least one other person who is in a similar position to me. Any advice please would be appreciated.

Hi, I'm currently negotiating with the hsbc (with the help of cccs), trying to sort out a payment plan on my loan & overdraft with them, this is probably going to take another few weeks at least.
Meanwhile, I've filled out the spreadsheet with all their charges & interest since I opened the account (5 years) and my total's around £1800.

I also filled out a spreadsheet for my old mbna card - I don't use this card anymore - I've written to them and asked for £282, they said 'no, we're in the right, but you can have £90 if you want'. I'm now at the stage where I've issued my court claim for the full whack and am waiting to see what they do next.

My dilemma now is do I wait til my debt plan is all sorted and in place then claim from the hsbc? Will I be too late to claim by then? Are they still likely to pay me back if I've got a minimum payment thing going on?

They've charged me over £300 just in the last month, even tho I've been trying to sort it all out and the total of nearly 2k is a lot of money - it would help clear the overdraft! I don't want to miss out if there's a chance I could get it back.

Can anyone help me out? Does anyone have a similar situation? I'm a bit lost!
    Thanks a lot, Isa
