Have been charged £25 late payment fee by Citi although I havent paid them a penny in interest. Cant help feeling guilty about trying to get this back but will do it. Thanks for advice. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0

Have successfully received back from First Direct £70.
I sent an email through my online account on 8 March and they replied with the offer of full refund on 23 March - perhaps it helped that the amount was reasonably small.
Now to tackle Barclays.....0 -
Sent my letter to NatWest over a fortnight ago (recorded delivery). What do I do if they don't reply within 40 days?
Also, I sent a letter to Co-operative Bank on 21st March (standard first class). What do I do if they don't reply in 14 days? Is there a second letter somewhere?
I know I'm not even near the 'deadlines' yet, but I just like to be prepared.0 -

Also remember that the 40 days start from when they get your £10 for the DPA, not the date you sent the letter.0

But they haven't requsted the money... So if there's no reply... not even requesting £10 surely they've got to stick to 40 days from the date of the letter.
Is it likely that they're going to wait until the end of 40 days to request the money, therefore dragging it out to approx 80 days?0 -
I sent a letter to Barclays asking them to refund the PPI (Payment Protection Insurance) as I never requested it.
They sent me a long letter saying that I had the right to cancel it when I signed the contract etc within 30 day's. But I signed it on the knowledge that I never asked for it in the first place and wouldn't think it would be there. I also needed the loan quickly!
They also said that I refused a partial refund previously to which I have never asked them about the PPI before!
Do I go back to them and still demand a full refund etc?

im a bit thick so please bare with me lol - i have an agreed overdraft of say £2000.00 and get charged about £20 each month in interest for using this - can i reclaim these or are these legal charges? i havent gone over my agreed overdraft so havent been charged.........

Their legal charges i'm affraid as it's a service their providing.
You can get FREE overdraft facilities with different banks if you look around like Alliance & Leicester.
