Ok thank you Karnam. I will have a look through all my credit card statements.

Just to clarify then can I claim my Authorised charges back from my bank? (as well as my unauthorised charges).

No this isn't correct. They can charge you a maximum of £10 for the request (not per page). I recently wrote to Lloyds TSB and received my statements with no charge at all. I ended my letter saying "I am aware that the information commissioner allows you to make a nominal charge for this service, and you may take this letter as my authority for you to deduct this sum from the above account, up to the legal maximum of £10.00."
    Hope this helps.

You have asked for your bank statements instead of asking for a complete list of transactions and charges saying statements will suffice also you need to ask for proof on any manual intervention, as the banks use this as an excuse for the charges. .you need to do this under the DATA PROTECTION DISCLOSURE REQUEST and enclose £10 .. under the DPDR they can not charge you more then £10.You can find a letter in the bank action group libary

  • CAN ANYONE ADVISE IF THIS IS APPLICABLE TO N.I.? WE OFTEN HAVE DIFFERENT LAWS AND A DIFFERENT COURT SET-UP (ITHINK) SO CAN i TRY TO GET MY MONEY BACK USING THIS INFO?
I know someone else asked this ages ago but I think I read every post and can't see a reply?
