" Is the block specifically to CAG or unapproved internet access in general? Let's be honest; the employer has every right to ensure that the firm's equipment is being used for the firm's purposes, and it is a favour given not a right held by an employee to make private use of that equipment, nor is it a right of the employee to use the firm'd time for his own private activities.
Whether you have a case against the bank is beside the point here, but if your case is justified then you are entitled to your money. However I think freeloading
on some other person or orgaonisation to achieve that is unworthy.
Sometimes ISTM that those who question the banks' morality should look closer to home."
Whether I have a case against my bank is exactly the point here.
The company I work for block access to chat rooms (which is what CAG has been classified as) but other than that are quite happy for staff to spend time on the internet for private use. Not that this is any of your business.
I don't understnad what your problem is. I don't see how am I freeloading by asking fellow MSErs for help. I'm quite happy with my morals too thankyou very much.0 -
Hi,
I'm going to send in my SAR to Lloyds TSB and Natwest.
I would like to know - who do I address them to?
I don't want them to get lost in any other generically addressed post.
Also, do I send them to head office, or to my local branch?
I'm not sure what to do as I no longer bank with Natwest, and my Lloyds account is a generic one - no specific branch mentioned.
Thanks in advance and apologies if this is answered somewhere else.0 -
Intelligent Finance, claiming £294.
Received a reply saying that the charges they made were for 'costs incurred', all charges were printed in the terms and conditions which I had access to, and they cannot be responsible for my mistakes.
They refuse to pay me back.
I am about to send a letter before action.
It is quite intimidating, making me feel like I am wrong! But I am right to say that regardless of whether the charges were in the Terms and Conditions, they remain illegal!?0 -
Hi - It's me again.
Have contacted the bank of Scotland today and they are refusing to give an address for england - saying that everything needs to go to Scotland.. Does anyone know of a way I can locate an address of any offices they have registered in England?
By the way Captial One have just refunded nearly £1000 in backdated fees, 1 day before they were required to respond to the Court..... only because they wanted to ensure that I didn't waste valuable court time! Chuckle!!!!
Thanks to all that have helped me do this and keep going all that are in the process!0 -
Hi all, amin a bit of a quandry lol....Have banked with Nat West for 16 years, have an OD facility of 5000 am currently at 3000. Have just written to request all of my statements over the last 6 years and am about to post it, but, am worried to death about them closing my account!! Has anyone had this done by nat west, and how many of you have been successful in your claims with them? Also (sorry lol), do I wait for 40 days from todays date or mon when they will probably receive it? With kind regards, x
Oh and can I claim for unfair charges on my mastercard? Also with nat west..0 -
Ok - it's me again! Have been searching for an address and phoning everywhere like a woman possessed. Either way I am struggling to obtain an address here in England - despite the fact that the Bank of Scotland is now the Halifax Bank of Scotland. They are insistant that any correspondence goes to an address in Dunfermline. GGGrrrrrrr!
In the meantime I have also discovered that the AA Visa Card we hold is also from .. yes ... you guessed it.. The Bank of Scotland - Head Office based in! They sent a letter a couple of months ago with regard to a late payment, however the address is in Halifax - the collections dept.... Would I be able to use this one. The only thing I would say, is that the footnote on the bottom of the letters from the AA and the Bank of Scotland state "The Govenor and Company of the Bank of Scotland constitued under an Act of Paliament 1695. Head Office: The Mound Edinburgh, EH1 1YZ. The Bank of Scotland Credit Card Services is in Dunfermline.....
Any advice would be sssssssssssooooooooooo appreciated!0 -

No you don't get it. Do your own business in your own time, then you deserve respect for fighting your case. Period period period!0 -
Jeez....whats happening?!!
Anyone about to answer my last post? x0 -
Sorry if this question has been covered before but I've searched and cant see the answer.
I have a claim against Nationwide which they have settled in full for £350. However, now they have given me 30 days notice of account closure. I don't really care about this as its not my main current account and the charges I got back paid off the overdraft but I'm annoyed that they are closing the e-savings account which is linked to the main account. What I'm wondering however, is there anyone to complain to about the account closure? And is there any letter formats with which to reply to the bank with?0 -
The OFT will be the people you need to complain to. It's not fair trading - all you have done is stand up for you legal rights - to be punished for doings so is a breach of the consumer credit act.0
