Hi just a quicky from me as I'm trying to keep ontop of the thread otherwise it will take me hours tonight to read it all. :) Welcome to pawpurrs and amanda

Just been shopping and did very well, the list was good for my normal budget but even better for my target. I'm currently making chicken stock in the SC to freeze for soups.

Forgot to say that our car was hit AGAIN on Sunday morning 4am....the driver got stuck...hit our car...was still stuck so got a friend (one of our neighbours) to help move him and then promptly drove off without informing us or his friend....fortunately for us not only did we see him do it we also have cctv (for this very purpose as our car has been hit sooooo many times on our street that is not funny anymore!! 2 x new doors, bumper repainted at least 5 times etc etc) so we had it all recorded. Spoke to our neighbour yesterday who is sorting it out and making the guy get in contact with us, the repaint of the bumper will cost about £250 from past experience, at least this time we caught the ****** as we can't claim on our insurance anymore otherwise we will loose our no claims bonus despite paying to have it protected.

Anyway on a happier note, my trolley at Tesco looked very OS and I felt incredible virtous and proud of myself as I walked around the aisle lol. :)

Right best go house is tip and not sure where to start, probably kitchen I think......wish me luck.

  • Hiya!

Not got time to read the whole thread, hope everyone is well & hugs for those who are not or those who just want a hug!

I've been to the gym this morning. DH pays for it, I certainly wouldn't! So I shall make the most of it.

Got work later on so need to go & make sausage casserole for dh tea & put all the fruit together for a fruit salad as it all needs using up.

  • Morning everyone. Hugs to those who need them and congrats to Scuzz and Michelle.

Did out ds1's bedroom this morning. I've been putting it off since Xmas as it was a binliner job - one of rubbish and one for the charity shop. But I'm feeling so virtuous now because it's done, cleaned and Dysoned. Then I loaded up the wally trolley for the charity shop and off I trundled (no chance of ds spotting anything in the bag if it's gone!). Called in Iceland on the way home as they're closing down and everything is half price - but there was hardly anything left! But I got a huge turkey crown for £4 which I shall cook and then slice and bag up for the freezer for a load of packed lunches/ salad meals.

DH is away till Thursday so it's shepherds pie tonight (he's the pickiest eater in the house) and some value broccoli.

Got a large order from Tesco arriving tomorrow to coincide with payday - spend £75 and get 1000 points (which is worth£40 to us in ferry crossings). It's amazing how much value stuff you have to order to reach the total! But I've stocked up on loo roll etc for the month as well so hopefully will easily make the March target I've set.

Off to tidy the wreckage that is the sitting room after the weekend, wash all the clothes I've liberated from the darkest depths of ds1's room and make the shepherds pie. BM is on already - I'm trying out the french bread setting for the first time.

The trouble with reading this thread after 9am is that so many people have posted before me it takes forever! Don't stop though, I love reading it. I always intend to do the personalised get well soons, congratulations & comiserations, but by the time I get to the end I can never remember who needs what!

    Afternoon all

Im off work today as im ill, I knew it was coming and kept feeling light headed and headachey all weekend, and body temperature going up and down and generally feeling sick. Had quite a disturbed night's sleep last night but managed to get around 12 hours in total of sleep so I am feeling a little less tired. I desperately need a bath too so that is on my list of things to do shortly.

Im also going to try and eat something. My plans for the day involve making a loaf, making boyf tidy up for me, relaxing on the sofa etc. Im also going to do a load of reading for work as I dont want to be off ill as I am enjoying what im doing at the moment, so ill use my quiet time to read and improve my knowledge so that when I go back to work (probably wednesday at this rate) I wont feel as if ive had a completely wasted couple of days.

What annoys me most is that ive caught the bloody thing from a colleague who always comes into work even when really sick because she hates being at home (family issues or something) and im always terrified that she'll either collapse at work or give me the bug. I feel the same way about people with flu on a bus coughing all over people without even having the decency to cover their mouths! Annoying!

Anyway, im off to the bath then the sofa

    Have a good day all

    Jo xx

    hello everyone.. :hello: :hello: :hello:

Suzz... Thats brill news. now drink wine and rest up.

Jo.. get rested and work that fella!!!

After watching the weather this morning am thinking I need to get a Tesco delivery ASAP as I can not drive in the snow and will be house bound. At least with lots of supplies I can do some freezer cooking.

The BM has a wholemeal cooking and the SC has a beef stew in. Just need to add some dumplins a little later.

Have been so busy today and got that much done think a little session on my sunbed is in order.. Need to make a little more use of it and make it worth the stress of not being able to move in my bedroom and having to climb over the thing to get into bed!!

    Catch ya later.

    Nikki.
