Morning all, no time to read the thread yet as off to a course in a mo!
Have hoovered, put WM on, put curry in SC for tonight, cleaned bathroom and tidied the devastation in the sitting room that everyone causes over the weekend - I feel very virtuous, now I just need to find my notes for today - where are they?
Have a good day, will look in again later before I do my stint at dd1's guide pack and help with the toboganning, and then off to work straight after - argh!GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
Morning all :hello: hugs, well dones, congratulations, good lucks, welcomes to all who need them (memory very bad this morning and can't remember everyones names but my hearts in the right place
).
Suzy G did you see the prima magazine hair cut offer??? Its was in the weekly email and probably on one of the freebie type threads.
Well I've finally caught up with you all, its alright this not having the computer on on a Sunday but it does take ages to catch up with what everyone has been doing.
House looks like a total dump so feeling very cross with my self and very ansie:wall: Need to get a breakfast and a bath then go shopping at Tescos, how comes I've got hardly any meat etc on my list and its still going to cost about £40!
Had a nice day yesterday, I was going to send DH off to his parents house with munch after Church whilst I tidied up the dinning room ( :rotfl: sorry it sounds so funny when I type that now) but he insisted I came with...which actually turned out well as it was nice to see them.
MIL has been making munch a very very cute cardigan which she showed me it turned out that its not knitted but crochet'd and I mentioned that lots of you were learning or already crocheing. I asked her to show me and I can now crochet!!! So I just need to find something to do...she owns a Needlecraft shop in Lincoln and she also sells wool and patterns so I will pop in sometime this week and get stocked up...there is a very cute hat that matches the cardi so I might do that first. Its so much easier when someone shows you how to do something, if anyone lives near Lincoln and wants to be shown how to do it she said she was more than happy to show you how...it really is easy well I've only learnt double stitch but it doesn't take long to get going.
Plan for today is shopping, ironing, TIDYING!!!! and experimenting with cereal bar recipes. I made some of queenies everyday biscuits yesterday they went down very well but I think the name should be changed to one-day biscuits as they don't last very long.
Right I feel a little bit cheered up now so I best get on with it while I've got the motivation.
Take care everyone and have a lovely day. :j

got my SC yesterdaygoing to go to the supermarket tonight (not been since the first week in jan thanks to weekly veg bags) to get some nice things to cook - i'll be spending the day looking at recipes for inspiration!!
hope everyone has a good day:happyhear0 -
Good morning everybody:)
Got my stew in the slow cooker, off to do some voluntary work (setting up a womens' healthy lifestyle group:)) and then the gym, then back to do some paperwork, phonecalls(hopefully to earn some money, and make a new batch of laundry gloop.
Felt like a real proper OS mummy this morning because ds2 is doing a nature project so I got some catkins from the tree in the garden. My chickens are behaving oddly, but they are a different breed to the last lot. Im worried they were mistreated as they cower to the ground when you go near them:( Keeping them in their run because of bird flu. Going easy on the cooking today, just have to make dumplings for the stew, which i wil add linseeds to in honour of 'use up month' because i have loads of the darn things. It was a good idea at the time...
Have a good day everyone xxxMember no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

Morning all... still catching up with the threads so :grouphug: to all
I had a great start to the morning, I over slept by 45 minutesApparently OH and DD both tried to wake me up but I kept falling back asleep finally got up at 7.30 and was amazingly washed, dressed and downstairs in less than 10 minutes
I really have no idea how I managed that except that everything was already out ontop of my dresser, just like when I was at school
Anyway, so far today I've sorted the bedrooms out, beds aired and then made, DD done and off to school and I've already caught up on my other internet sites, apart from bankingDD and I have sat with my supply of birthday cards and a binder/organiser I got for Christmas and have allocated birthday cards to almost everyone until August (I'm just finishing them off now), only ones who aren't sorted are those who need special (i.e. 50th) cards which I'm going to go and pick up from Asda later. WM is on with our bedding and the wash basket is heaving again even though I only did the washing on Saturday!
Still to do:- More washing (1 load of bedding, then I don't know what else is hiding in the basket)
- Dishes (x 2 probably)
- Shopping list
- Trip to Asda
- Baking of cookies for packed lunches this week.
- Need to sort out tea - currently got a big pan of veg soup on the stove but it needs blending before tea to make it look a little more appetizing
Right, off to catch up on the rest of the weekends threads and then I better get on with the other jobs. :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Just back from doing the school run and am grabbing a drink before venturing out into the garden.
Well, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. ;-)
RacyRed : there's just no hope - its now in the blood and you're doomed.
Amanda666 : welcome! Try not to blow too big a raspberry when you hand in that letter of resignation.
Scuzz : Congratulations!! Gee, but you had some determination, to keep on going with a hamstring injury. I take my hat off to you, even if you are completely daft. :rotfl: Now, for goodness sake, make sure you take care of it now. You only get one set of legs!
rchddap : sorry to hear that its all getting you down so much. You're right - it is just "things", but the trouble is, we tend to rely so much on things like our cars! Each time you start worrying about it, try and divert yourself into making plans for something else - even if its just a housework plan!At least then you'll be using the energy for something positive - and trying not to worry. Hugs!
Moggins : good luck with the ball gown!! I love making costumes for DS's school adventures - the last thing I was required to create was a pirate costume for Trafalgar day. I did him up as Capn Jack Sparrow and, if I say so myself, he looked very dashing and rakish. The last true "make" was an Easter Bonnet. I did a Maypole on top of a hill, complete with dancing chicks. Amazingly, it survived the experience and I just need to dust it off and cheer up the chicks and it will do for this year as well. I love the sound of your White Rabbit. When DS was required to go as a book character, we cheated and sent him in as Bob the Builder. Well, they've made books of the series!!
PP : oh my goodness! That's such a shame! The poor thing - and poor DD, she must be heartbroken. Let us know how you get on with the seller.
Michelle : Woo!!! Congratulations!!! Awwww, gosh, I remember those days of first telling people .. enjoy all the fuss you have made of you - because once baby is here, people tend to forget that Mum likes fuss too!!
Kiwichick : You need to alert your local council to the rat. They should send somebody round to deal with it for free. Where there's one rat, there's going to be more - and even though you're moving house soon, you don't want to be on alert when you have to be out in the garden!
Speaking of gardens .. that's where I should be. Tata, see you later!:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:Weight loss since 2 March 10 : 13lbs0 -
Housework....not a bad idea. Something to distract me. I should be working, but have to wait until I get access to my PC remotely.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

Good morning everybody :hello:
Probably shouldn't be here in the office as I'm not feeling too good this morning. Sick and dizzy. I knew I must be coming down with something because when I got home last night my thighs were aching like mad. Does anybody else get that? Achy legs whenever a bug's on its way? I also strongly suspect that I'm going to come on today (I'm really irregular and don't normally get any symptoms until the day beforehand) which, while I don't think it's the whole reason I'm feeling ill, doesn't help.
Also had a row with boyfriend yesterday - I got annoyed when he stood me up 4 hours in advance for an opera I'd organised free tickets for (on the grounds that he couldn't be bothered), and because I got annoyed, he basically said that if I was going to get on his case then he didn't know why he should be bothered with me - at all. Charming. He texted me an hour later, not saying the "s" word (as if) but offering a compromise - but tough !!!!!! cos by that time I'd offered the spare ticket to my dad.
I got nothing done all weekend, woke up at 1:30pm on Saturday so couldn't start my ham hock in the SC as I'd planned! All I managed to do was pick up 3 pairs of shoes from the cobblers, pop into Lidl, do lots of paid2clicks (as I've only just started, I'm working my way through the higher-value, one-off free credits!) and in the process of doing this, sign up with quite a few online survey/mystery shopping sites.
I hope I'm feeling better later cos I am supposed to be going to an opera this evening. TBH if I couldn't make it it wouldn't be the end of the world - the ticket (standing room) was only a fiver, and it's not a popular show so if I wanted to go a different night I could probably get a deal on one of the best seats in the house for about £25, which I think would be worth it (I could afford it thanks to last week's bonus). I would like to go tonight if possible, though, cos a lot of my friends are going.
My uncle (dad's younger brother) is flying out to Northern Ireland this morning to do some more investigating into last week's family revelation... my dad says there are plenty of people who seem to know things that he and his brother feel they have a right to know. The main question being who the father of his newly discovered elder brother might have been.
Hey Michelle, congrats on being pregnant! :j :j How pregnant? Sounds like if you're worried about folks noticing your belly, it might be nearly time to tell people anyway without worrying about jinxing itYou're at least the third, possibly 4th, person to announce you're pg in about the last 2-3 months!
PP - really sorry about the dragon - I hope you manage to get something sorted out with the seller. I was thinking about what CQ said the other day, about maybe it was a bug from the dragon that made your DD ill...don't know if something it passed on to your DD might have made it ill too, IYKWIM?
scuzz - well done! My sister's doing the London Marathon this year (must remember to sponsor her, as I haven't yet. I'm saving up my "charity donation budget" until the last moment so she can have as much as poss. By the way, if anybody else wants to sponsor her, PM me! She's doing it in aid of the Northern Air Ambulance.
Welcome Amanda666!
rchddap1 - hope you get the whiplash sorted out soon (and the car, for that matter!) :grouphug:
starlorna - you haven't been here for a while have you? Or maybe you have, and I just haven't been paying attention! Nice yo see you again anyway
Queenie - lovely to see you again too! Hope things are running a bit more smoothly for you than they were a while ago.
Sorry if I've missed anybody out, and I'm bound to have cross-posted wth lots of people cos I've been dipping in and out of writing this post for almost an hour!
Catch you later
