    Afternoon everyone

Hugs to all in need, welcome to the newbies and many congrats to Michelle :j

Just got back in after a day taking mum shopping and doing her cleaning. She does love a good mooch around the supermarket and still spent £90  But, to be fair, she did buy her 4 grandkids an easter egg each and 2 bottles of nice plonk in case she goes to friends (which she manages quite a lot now :D) I also managed to stick a couple of things in the trolley too, including some purple carrots, which I shall be trying later.

I think I really need my eyes testing as I have a headache again, but I can't afford any new specs and my frames won't take new lenses (and I'd quite like some modern stylish ones if I have to wear them all the time) Or maybe it takes so long to read the daily thread now that I just get eye strain - that's it, I'll just blame you lot :rotfl:

Got my crochet lesson tomorrow afternoon -whoopee :D Really looking forward to it now. I'll just practise the stitches I do know tonight (ie make chains :D) but hopefully I'll hold the wool correctly etc by the time she comes.

It's a night in front of the tv - Corrie x 2 and last of 'Life on Mars' I need to put Wm on again but will allow the ironing pile to grow a little. DS's clothes are all done ready for their return to school tomorrow, so will make their butties tonight too. Have a mystery shopping job to do after I've done the school run and some bits to take back to a couple of shops. Will call in at Lidl for some fresh veg and that should be me done for a while on the grocery shopping front.

B: porridge with sultanas and prunes
L: ham sandwich and HM cake
D: Veg lasagne (me) meat lasagne (MrTM) from freezer and spag bol for boys (from yesterday)

Right - I'm off. I'm sure I was going to say more (pleeeeease ..... no, I hear you all cry :)) I've a splitting headache (most unlike me - even Mr TM will vouch for this) and need to get the tea ready. Have a good evening :)

I will pm you later with details of the online place I used for glasses - they're fab - I paid £17 for them - was quoted £105 where I got my eyes tested. I'll dig out the address after tea!

    Weight today = 17st 6.5lbs
    Loss to date 32.5lbs!!!
  • LOL Kiwichick...You do keep me smiling;) Good luck with the move!!

Had a pretty lazy last couple of hrs. Decided on HM curry with the left over gammon from yesterday with jacket spud for me and rice for OH & DD. OH has also just put in oven Black-Saturn fruit cobbler with an old tin of mixed fruit we found lurking in the cupboard. Dont know what its going to taste like:confused:

OH is popping up B&Q later for some wood colour adhesive/filler stuff that goes round the edge of the wooden flooring, so that dirt doesnt get stuck in the edges. I dont really like beading and hopefully this will do the job ok.

Anyways, gonna go and see how the cobblers doing.

    Take care all.

Busy day at work today, lots of meetings but have spent far too long online since getting home :o

Sold a couple of bits on ebay and had some swaps from another online site to post at lunchtime so kept busy (doing well at getting rid of stuff though.

Have toothache so need to get to the emergency dentist as I don't have one (been trying for ages and am on the waiting list here) think I'll have to try and go private

Need to put a load of washing away tonight, change the bed and I think I'm going to try and put 3 more lots of stuff for ebay onto turbo lister ready for when I want to list.

Also need to have a tidy around as might have some people coming round tomorrow night.

Hope everyone is having a good day

    Hi all

I tried to type this earlier, but I managed to hit the wrong button and lost it all .

OH and I have just had a very yummy chicken and lots of veggies stir fry! That, coupled with our very healthy lunch and we'll look like vegetables soon :D

I went to the beauticians earlier tonight. We were having a chat about saving money and talking about all the Boots bargains and living within your means. I nearly asked her whether she knows of this website, but chickened out. :(;)

    Anyway, better go for now.

Kiwi, you can do it. I managed a move to Germany with three days notice and "March Out" (any ex army wife will know what I mean :( )

Use tomorrow to go round all the supermarkets scavenging as many boxes as you can lay your hands on. Order a mass of rolls of packing tape from Screwfix and just work room by room packing everything into boxes, make sure you have a big black marker handy for writing on each box which room it came from.

Am needing to cut back fairly sharpish next month as looks potentially to be an expensive one- the fence fell down in the winds on Sat, the car needs a MOT and we're going to need new anti virus software  Shall have to hang around here even more. Well that's my excuse!!

For free anti virus software I recommend AVG. It is very good and updates itself every day. Ask around the techie forum for more advise. :D
