Star - I have sent the guy an email saying thanks but no thanks and that I wasnt about to put myself into debt and that I will call him if I want to advertise in the future and I would be grateful if he refrain from calling me:D There's nothing worse than pushy salesmen:rolleyes:

I am all ready for Tuesday as well as I have my directions printed out already:D

Got to go and see the manager of the hotel tomorrow night where i will be (hopefully) doing my first wedding fair in September .
I'm a bit nervous coz it is my first 'proper' business appointment/meeting apart from going to the wedding shops. Got my portfolio to show him so hopefully it should be ok :-/

Thanks Horace- I must say reading about your escapades on here has given me a bit of a kick up the bum to get out and promote the business. Webdesigner has just started on my website so hopefully I'll be able to put all you lovely peeps links on soon- I'll keep you posted!

I'm back! only had one glass of wine...and may have a lead from a lovely lady who has set up in business selling aloe vera....I didn't know you could drink it!

I am not a natural 'networker' but I do like to chat and I don't do the hard sell, I don't tell people what I do unless they ask....there was some lovely stalls there with lovely jewellery and a lady who does shoe parties.....

Aah but Sammy chatting is networking. Sounds like you had a fab time and came away with some good contacts. I thought you stuck aloe vera on the skin I wasnt aware you could drink it either - or maybe I had a vague recollection that if you chopped a leaf when you were in the desert then you could suck on the sap:eek:

I have my finger in some pies at the mo - I may well have an opportunity coming up but dare not say anything just yet as I want to get confirmation and find out more about the opportunity (its not a wedding opportunity either). All I can say is that I know some interesting people who know other interesting people:D
