Hi I'm only lurking here, am currently selling my own stuff on ebay but am thinking of selling as a business.
Em, have you looked at the tools such as Selling Manager Pro on ebay, I think that they do all you need as an ebay pro.0 -
Hi to all the new folks
I have been going mad trying to find this thread on the DFW board and find that they have moved it to the diary board instead..sigh.
Unfortunately I know nothing about DMPs but there is a calculator that they all swear by over on the DFW board (best post it there if you want some responses) https://www.makesenseofcards.com/soacalc.html
I havent done much today - started packing my suitcase ready for the trip to GC on 8 March, chucked some stress hearts into the suitcase too, I may as well give them away seeing as I had 100 produced:D On Monday I should be getting my favor maker machine and the silk bouquets which have been on back order. I have a lot to do this week including sorting out mum & dad's birthday presents and fingers crossed I get my glasses back from the hospital so I will be able to drive again..it will make life easier to go and see my parents because the bus no longer stops in the village and I face a 3 mile walk from the nearest bus stop to their home.0 -
evening all. I did another wedding fayre today and did quite well, i sold 1 hairvine and the person wanted the one on the stall so took it straight away, I also have to almost definate sales on my most expensive tiara so im just waiting for them to get back in touch, this fayre was much better organised than the last one i went to and everybody seemed to be getting more interest despite there being fewer people there. The whole atmosphere was just far better. Saw one man doing the fountains, wich noah loved (they help me set up then go out shopping) and also got asked quite abit about garters, wich is something ive thought about doing before so may look into doing that again, especially as john got me a sewing machine for christmas. So had a really good day and im feeling alot more positive about everything.
Hope everyone else is having a good day. Not long now untill your holiday horace.back to comping in 2017, fingers crossed :beer:0 -
Well done on the wedding fayre JP. I spent today ironing and packing..just need to pack some undies and two skirts and that's me done:j Need to get some Mr Muscle drain unblocker tomorrow as I have a blockage under the sink and dirty water has been seeping out (thankfully caught in my large roasting pan) but boy does it stink:eek: - so I have had to re-arrange the kitchen slightly and one of the 3 tier drawer units that I got from Lakeland has had office stuff cleared out of it and most of the contents of the undersink cupboard are in it (things like blenders, graters etc). I have yet to wash up but need to clear the blockage first.
Won't be around in the morning as I am off to Clarins Day Spa to have a facial (free as I have used points) and to have bits waxed which I have had to pay for but have paid up front for these. Will pop into Waterstones too to get some books - I need to have reading material whilst I am away, a few Jonathan Kellermans should do the trick:D0 -
Just giving this thread a bump in case you've missed it.
Hope you are all keeping busy?:D0 -
hey all, hope everyones having fun. Horace how did your pamper day go yesterday? hope you feel nice and relaxed?
I'm having a quiet day other than arguing with john lol. payed for the fayre on sunday, I was so impressed at the last one i decided it would be good to do this last one before i go. plus hopefully i can get some orders so i can get some spends for my holiday.
Hope everyone else is keeping busy and working hard.back to comping in 2017, fingers crossed :beer:0 -
Hi all
I am feeling kind of relaxed although I was pretty stressed beforehand because I filled in one of their consultation forms and because I have had eye surgery they had to check with Head Office and the result came back that I couldnt have a facial at which point I became exceedingly angry because I felt as though I had been ripped off..I pointed out to them that I have facials on a regular basis and do not need my consultant's permission and I demanded that I speak to their HQ myself. In the end I had my facial and then went to console myself in Starbucks with a slab of banana cake (I don't even like bananas) and a mug of coffee (free as I used my LVs).
My favor machine arrived yesterday and so far I have made two bombonieres, the silk bouquets that I ordered too look fab. I had to get a chap in to sort out the pipes under my sink because they are spraying water everywhere again..its a fitting fault by the eejits that fitted the sink in the first place because they used so much grease that the pipes slide apart over time:mad: Havent been out today and submitted an assignment to be marked my first since December:eek: Need to be out tomorrow for a breakfast meeting and will need to buy a book to read whilst I am away, my accountant is coming round on Thursday and I have a busy weekend ahead - must phone the eye hospital tomorrow to see if my glasses are ready, had to lie and say that I was going away for a month otherwise it would take them a month to sort them out and I am fed up with not seeing properly:eek::o
Can't believe it, I had such lovely long nails yesterday and I managed to rip one and that was it, I had to cut them all the same length as they all started going:mad: I have had to put a plaster on one of them because it has ripped across the quick and keeps catching:mad:
S'pose I had better think about doing some dinner - there is only a bit of cheese in the fridge now as I ate two rashers of bacon, 1 egg and the last half of the baked beans at lunchtime.
Catch you tomorrow folks.0 -
 I worked my way back through 30 pages trying to find this thread .... who's idea was it to move it to Diaryland ? Only reason I found it ... was cos I searched Horace's profile to find the thread :rotfl: Wonder if others are having similar problems finding the thread ?
Sorry I've not been around much - Had alot on my plate recently and been working at client sites as well. A couple of really bad problems have now almost been resolved, so my head is returning to a better place.
Welcome Newbies to the Beaver & Sloth farm... hope you enjoy being with us. It has been a bit quiet on here since xmas, partly due to some of the regulars not being around for various reasons (including work!!).
Anyhow, I'm gonna be MIA for a few more days yet - well into next week - as I'm flat out with work. I will stick my snout in though to see how y'all doing.
"H" - glad to see you can still wear me out just reading your "doings" .... I reckon you should write a booklet or something ... you know like "diary of a call girl" type thing ... :rotfl:

Grrrr Couldn't find you!
Sorry not to have been about - i have had the few weeks from hell. The OH made a very good suicide attempt and spent 4 days on life support in intensive care. He is still in hospital, receiving treatment but the strain on everyone is unbelievable. His parents have taken it out on me, not so much his dad but his mum and what with trying to keep the shop going i am ready for the men in the white coats to come along.
On a more positive note, the shop move has proved to be good - i threw a rep out on Friday who i had been wanting to for a long time, then he was like a flipping boomerang and appeared yesterday - i rang his company and asked them to phone him and remove him from my shop or the police would be doing it! Ooh the power!
I am currently dying the hair at the min. Goodness knows what it will be like - off to the lawyer and accountant this morning to try to get a few bits and pieces sorted while OH is still in hospital.
Everyone seems busy - when do you head away Horace? Glad you're busy.
Speak soon

Hi Angel and TCM
I have no idea who moved this thread to diary land..I only discovered it had been moved on Monday:mad:
Sorry to hear that you have both been in the wars a bit. Really sorry to hear about your OH TCM, I hope he recovers soon. Try and ignore his parents - his mum is overly protective because its her baby that is lying there in hospital and maybe she is feeling guilty herself for not noticing or doing more. Well done on getting rid of the salesman too and that the shop move is working out well.
My accountant is coming round to see me this morning - I should be tidying up but have cleared a seat for her and that's about it, I dare not close my suitcase which is lying in the middle of the floor because I will forget to put things in it - its mostly packed except for my toiletries and I dare not forget them. I can't quite believe that I am going..its like a huge adventure because I havent been away on my own for an absolute age so this trip has warranted me finding my old travel diary and taking it with me - I last wrote in it in 2004:eek: It is something that I started for my own entertainment when I went to Australia and when I am feeling in need of a lift, I pick it up and read it and am immediately transported back.
I am going to try and get the bus to my parents tomorrow or Saturday and I actually fly off on Monday - check in opens at 6.15 so I may just sleep in the airport overnight..it goes quiet after 11pm so I should be able to get some kip..I don't want to be faffing around with taxis early in the morning or trying to lug my suitcase downstairs in the early hours out of respect for my nice neighbours (the horrid ones can b*gger off:rotfl:)
Try and have a good day all.0
