Welcome Paintsplattered!! I have the same problem with BT I can only get cruddy Bband where 2 mins down the road can get 8meg!! They say its the cables we have- and we're on a new estate so why didn't they put in better ones!!

Morning everyone- it has gone quiet here lately hasn't it I'm presuming everyone's so busy- I know I have been Jan & Feb is a busy time for people booking their holidays especially after the snow I think people just want some warmth! I know I do- Cant wait for my holiday in MArch off to Tunisia then in May off to Sandals & Beaches in Jamiaca- so cant wait for that but thats more business- hard work but someones got to do it.

So JP when do move over to Cyprus? I love Cyprus very much..
Horace don't give us up keep on posting we're here not a lot but we're here!!

evening all, sorry for not chatting all weekend ive been at my parents house for the weekend having a great time and trying to get things sorted for the big move.
Travel lady, i go to cyprus in about 12 weeks, i cant wait im so excited just also worried about how much harder this makes my scheme to become a millionare lol. i cant wait though, going to live in episkopi so should be really good.
Horace dont stop talking to us im trying to chat just think im a bit mad when its quiet, but hereon in a vow to be mad (can you tell im in a good mood? wont last when i get on the scales in the morning lol).
hi paintsplattered im a stay at home mummy to trying to make a business work so youll fit right in here. what exactly is it you do? i make wedding tiaras and stuff, hoping to do cards as well while im living in cyprus.

Was asking john about courses in cyprus and theres quite abit i can do out there so im going to fill some of my time trying to become more educated nd finding more ways to boost my trotters enterprise!!! thats what my dad calls me anyway.

oh and travellady im going to tunisia in may with my mum and dad, i love tunisia its one of my favourite places on earth, next to weightwatchers according to noah. went to sousse last year and going to port el kantoui this year, to the golf residence. i cant wait to go back.

Thanks for the welcome!! I paint wooden things from name plaques and money boxes to toy boxes, chairs and kitchen stuff too. Did you enjoy the Spring Fair Horace? I went for the first time last Monday... definitely completely overwhelming!!! needed more than one day to do it justice but with arranging child-care (OH works shifts) and the cost of getting there I couldn't do more than one. I always thought that I had a good sense of direction but I got disorientated loads!! I think the main problem was that I tried to look at too many different things... I had been thinking that I might diversify by retailing stuff that compliments what I already do but there are a number of ways that I could do that and now I have half a ton of brochures etc... I feel as though I have opened a very large can of worms and it is very tempting to just try and jam the lid back on!! But if I want to expand and make more money... which would be very useful as kids do not get any cheaper as they get older... I either have to do something like this or work out how to create more hours in the day! The biggest problem is that I think it will take more investment (money and time) than I originally thought.

In the meantime I have 2 kids climbing the walls, my OH is ill in bed... it might be swine flu, his colleague had it last week, and painting to do so I had better shove off and get on!!

Sorry I've not been around today folks - I have been on a mind mapping course which was great fun and its a fab way to learn and to help with public speaking..I was picked up and then one of the other attendees dropped me off home which was also great but I told him that his satnav didnt take the most direct route:eek:

The Spring Fair was fab but overwhelming - I went on the Monday and visited Halls 3,4 and 5 and then went again on Thursday (the last day) and visited Halls 3, 4 and 5 (I didnt feel so well and couldnt be bothered to walk to Halls 17/18 where the jewellery fair was on. Thankfully I wasnt too overloaded with brochures - some folks are sending me theirs either on PDF or in the post. Basically, I went back on Thursday because I was hoping to buy stuff and ended up ordering a load of tuille, chocolate dragees, ribbons, paper roses, fabric roses with sparkly bits, silk bouquets, wedding post boxes and a favour making machine (I saved £22 on this) but have to wait for the machine and the silk bouquets. I spent part of last night mooching on the Net to see what other folks are selling favours for and the tuxedo ones are being sold for £1.10 each (they cost about 3p each) and the bombonieres vary in price between £2.10 to £2.70 each and again these cost around 3p to make so the mark up is very good.

Tomorrow I have a financial advisor visiting me because its about time I got some cover in case I am ill and hopefully he will be able to advise about a safer place for my money because I have found that either dip into my ISA or into my savings account because the money is easily available so I want to put it where I can't spend it:D Friend is supposed to be visiting tomorrow afternoon...hurrah, flippin' rah..(excuse the sarcasm).

Got a call yesterday lunchtime to say that the travel agents have got my tickets and can sort out currency as they get a better deal than the post office so I shall be collecting those on Wednesday as I need to go to the bank (put some money in) and will go to Selfridges as I have a 20% off Fenn Wright & Manson voucher to use and I am hoping to get another top or even a dress or skirt.

Need to think about tidying my office and tackling the front room which is supposed to be a bedroom but its full of junk - if I can build the shelving unit then that will be a help as I will be able to store stuff on shelves instead of in boxes on the floor...one day I hope to buy a bed to go in there (even a futon sofa that converts into a bed would be useful).

Hi all

Not much to report today - had a meeting with an IFA and have spent part of the day moving money around. Friend was supposed to be coming round to drop off my earring:js today and guess what she cancelled again:mad::j (this isnt jumping for joy, its me jumping up and down like rumpelstiltskin!)

Hopefully she will turn up on Friday afternoon - she has put her order in for cake from Druckers..uhm..I will have cake from Druckers and I won't be sharing:rotfl:

i havent done much today, bought some stamps and stuff for card making and im starting back at the gym tonight for the first time after the accident, i really want to get toned up again, i dont enjoy being porky!!!.

I've been pootling about selling on Ebay and putting affiliate banners on my blog. Am also in the process of updating my website with a range of everyday jewellery which hopefully will bring in a wider range of customers....well any customers would be nice!

I hope my friend returns my earrings too - I have told her that I am wearing them to the wedding (I am not but she needn't know that). Had to laugh at her tonight she was banging on about making a trip to Burford to Raymond Blanc's patisserie to buy a yule log which funnily enough was made from chocolate - she has big ideas and a very vivid imagination:D I am not buying any cake - I am on a diet because I am starting to droop, sag and spread:eek:

Well done on the ebay thing Mabel and producing some everyday jewellery - affliates on your blog are good as that should draw some money in. I am currently bidding for a blog in an auction..I have bid £50 - bidding closes next Tuesday.

Need to get up early tomorrow as I am expecting the first of many parcels from Italian Options and then in the afternoon I shall hop on the bus (or walk depending on my mood) to the travel agents to pick up my tickets...in fact I might just nip to town on the bus (funny I say town when I mean the city centre).

Don't do yourself a mischief at the gym JP.

I wonder where Purple is? I hope she isnt snowed in.

I did half an hour and nearly died, 7 months away from the gym certainly took its toll, and everything aches today.

I'm currently being subjcted to ben10 films by noah but at least hes quiet for the first time all half term. I have to much to do and not enough time to do it all, need to work and pack and half term doesnt help, going to do at least one of the wedding fayres and see how it goes then decide wther to focus on other stuff and try and get my website noticed in other ways.

Hi all

Have been jiggling money around again today (I noticed that I had dipped into my overdraft but its all sorted now:j). Its snowing and I don't fancy going to the travel agents to pick up my tickets, I am also waiting in for the postman. If he hasnt come by the time Home & Away finishes then I shall go out, I also need to get a condolence card (I dont know the person, its something that the 4N group have asked me to do).

Had a good chat with 123 Send yesterday and will speak to them at the end of next month with a view to getting a mobile card terminal and today had a good chat with Your West Midlands Wedding magazine, again I shall speak to them at the end of next month with a view to advertising again. Oh and I accepted the proof for my stress hearts...so they should be arriving soon.
