Horace, thats horrible about the money you raised. I would have liked to see the money go to the family and let them decide what charity to give it to. Surely what the others are thinking of is morally wrong? I am going to do a bit of fundraising in a while for the charity that have been so good to me and i would be enraged if anything happened me and the money went somewhere else. GRRRRRRRRRRR.

JP, I agree with Horace too - think of this as an adventure! A sunshine adventure!

The shop is very quiet again but i am hoping now with the schools off that i will be busier next week. The organisers of different horsey events around the area are saying their numbers are well down and one event which would normally attract a big crowd had to be cancelled because of lack of entries.

The OH is having to go for liver scans now - when he was in intensive care, they kept him unconscious but the amount of anaesthetic he was given was meant to last 1 hr but only lasted him 40min so he had to keep being topped up so it seems to have affected his liver. I had to get a bit cross with his drs yesterday - he rang for blood results and was told "yes there is a problem but we don't have any appointments till Tuesday afternoon" so i got on the phone and asked for the dr to phone him to discuss the results as you do not tell someone with a mental illness there is a problem but go away. Miracles happened and an appointment suddenly became free at 3.30! Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. Although he did give off that it made him feel like a little boy and called me mummy all night!

The tablets I am on are like horse pills and are very strong which is why I can only take 2 a day..so I have one around lunchtime and one when I go to bed. I think I need a holiday to recuperate.

Let's hope the shop picks up especially as it is half term..sorry to hear that one event has had to be cancelled though. Times are tough. Better to be called mummy than other stuff especially as you got the job done and got a miraculous appointment..sometimes these receptionists could do with a kick up the bum. Other than the liver, how is the OH?

I contacted the Area Leader about this money and made my feelings clear and he has now responded after thinking about it for a while and so the group leader is being told that all the money needs to be kept for Pash for her family to do with it as they please..I even posted a hypothetical question on one of the 4N forums and most people said thief, liar and cheat.

I have been terribly lazy this week and have barely thought about work. Someone posted on the 4N forum that they were setting up a wedding website so I asked various questions and got vague answers so I won't be advertising with them. I asked if they had any experience of the wedding industry and the answer I received was "we have 25 years' business experience in various sectors" in other words..no, we are just in it to try and make money. I asked about the hits they were aiming to have again - no idea, so I asked the awkward question about money and if I chucked money at this thing and it didnt work after 3 months and I decided it wasnt for me would I get any money back..again the answer was no, they don't do trial periods..in other words they don't give a rat's bottom about weddings and are just there to skank as much money from folks as possible.

    Hiya!
Horace - i'm glad you got the money sorted, it definitely didn't sound good that they'd changed where the money was heading!

TCM - glad you sorted the doctors appointment and I hope things are ok.

JP - designing a range sounds brilliant. Well done you! Hugs regarding the moving - I don't think many of us like change that much....it takes some getting used to.

We're about to go and watch an ice hockey match - free family ticket so we'd be daft not to give it a try. Spotty dog is currently trying to sit on my knee as she feels she's not had enough attention today - believe me, she's too big to sit on anyone's knee!

I've got a quiet two weeks with it being the Easter holiday but I'm working enough to pay for a few treats for the children. Hopefully this will keep it a money neutral Easter holiday even if I don't actually end up in profit.

Hope you're all working hard (well, hardish!)

    Speak soon xx

Glad you got the money sorted H. I stewed on that for a few days over the weekend and the more i thought about it the crosser i got!

The OH is on the right road i think. He is very tired, but that apparently comes from whatever the problem is with his liver. I have a horse tonic in the shop for livers & I have debated about giving him that! I had a horrible woman in today for a refund - she had ordered goods that i told her would take 4 weeks to come in as the company they were coming from are disasterous and she nearly took my head off yesterday (she only ordered them last Friday!) so i suggested I offer her a full refund and i would cancel the order - well woe alas alack, you'd have thought the world was ending for £4.80. Yes the decimal point is in the right place!

Muddy, I am still reliving my aromatherapy! I could become a regular if i wasn't so flipping skint! I have £1000 to pay out for feed this week, along with the rent and our own mortgage. Thats before we eat!

    Beans on toast me thinks!

TCM - could you buy a bottle or blend of the essential oil the aromatherapist used and then you'd have 'relaxation in a bottle' until you could have more treatments. Is there a college near you as they often do cheaper treatments from students who are training but they're still very good? £4.80 - stupid cow is all I've got to say to that woman!!

Work is still quiet with it being the holidays. Having a nice chilled time with my children though so I can't complain at all.

I've just managed to stay money neutral with DD's birthday as I bought all her presents with tesco vouchers!! I am ridiculously happy about that!

Enjoy those beans on toast TCM xx

Well Done Muddy on the Tesco vouchers!! I did that for a few gifts at Christmas! Thats a good idea about the oil. I reckon i could put it in a little burner and it would chill me out. I had a bit of a wobbler this morning - the OH hanged himself outside my pony's stable whilst I was in her stable and I found him literally as he jumped off the door, and this morning was the first time, almost 6 weeks later that the look on his face hanging there just hit me like a runaway train and it was an image that I had put to the back of my mind. More therapy matron, me thinks!

Shop has been very busy Tuesday and Wednesday and i feel alot more positive about it. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Everything that has been brought in Jan, Feb & March has been paid for upfront & I am chipping away at what is owed and it is coming down. I am going to do up a spread sheet & keep track of how much I've paid off.

    Hope all well with everyone

    Hi all

Sorry I wasnt around at all yesterday - I didnt switch my computer on at all. Am supposed to go and have a chest x ray but the thought of paddling to get there has put me off..so I stayed in and slept when I wanted to sleep and watched tv when I wanted to watch tv. Same goes for today really.

Received a lovely magazine in the post and I will definitely be advertising in it - its my kind of magazine (posh:rotfl:) and as the wedding firm in GC advertise in it and have had tons of leads from it, then why shouldnt I have a piece of the action? So I shall call them after Easter.

TCM - hope you havent had the icky snow. You need more R&R because what OH did wasnt fair on you really and I am guessing that it was a cry for help because he wanted to be found..but still it wasnt fair on you so you need to take care of yourself. A drop of aromatherapy oil in an oil burner works wonders. As for the customer moaning over £4.80 - well, she has a blummin' nerve, if it was £4800 I could understand it but to quibble over £4.80 she needs to go and get a life. Enjoyed your tale of Spotty Dog though and hope the ice hockey match was fab.

Not much to report on my front because I havent done anything - I am trying to chill out and do nowt (or at least very little), had to do some washing up today because I remembered the stewpot in the oven (big mistake as I had stew over a week ago:eek: - and the remainder did pong a bit:eek::o). I am not normally this bad. Also washed my fleecy blankets too today, using the freebie Bold 2in1 sample that I got from supersavvyme - although I have a money off voucher, I won't be buying any - it stinks to high heaven and its biological, its currently trying to complete with my cheap daffs which smell heavenly.

Am off to have another rest - Happy Easter one and all.

TCM - I hadn't realised what had happened - how awful for you! I'm not surprised it comes back and hits you when you least expect it. Massive hugs to you and get burning that oil. It won't solve things but it might help you relax/rest a bit more.

Still a quiet school holiday here ... children out with friends at the moment. I'm working most of tomorrow as my two are going to other people's houses and then I'll return the favour the next day.

Speak soon and hope you're all enjoying a break xx
