Can thoroughly recomend Noseksjustgems they are fantastic :-) good luck with the bouquet!
Sorry to hear about the band Horace but sounds like you are better off dumping them- you have spent a lot of time on them and it doesn't sound like they appreciate it much.

Jp- god I really want to slap your SIL- sounds like she is jealous of you and your business. Hope you have a lovely holiday .

I'd give your inlaws a slap too - John is probably a bit weak because he has been bullied all his life but at least now he is starting to stand up to them. Maybe if John gets a posting to Valley or somewhere like that then you won't have to deal with them - I'd try and cut them off altogether - nasty weevils. Life is too short to put up with these nasty jealous people. Slap a restraining order on them if you have to. Think of your holiday..its not so far away.:D

Am feeling a bit out of sorts today - am not sleeping properly and keep having strange and v.scary nightmares, am off to the doctors on Friday as I have a feeling I know what the problem is - it is something that can give me sepsis:eek: (something a bit embarrassing to talk about tbh).

Replied on FB JP re your wedding stand. take an extra table cloth with you - or some material (can get cheap offcuts) - take a large book, a smaller book and an even smaller book - stack the books on the table and cover with material or the tablecloth - you need to get the effect of being like a tiered cake (only way to describe it really) - this will make a nice stand to display your wares. Take a drink with you and some food too (the venue may provide but sometimes their food isnt so nice and the tea may be cold ). If you make necklaces then use a mug stand to hang them on - you can get one cheap as chips in a charity shop.

I am looking for a wedding card that is classy but doesnt have a bride and groom on the front and doesnt mention bride and groom inside either - would ask mum to make one but she has enough on her plate at the mo and I had thought of making my own (its for a gay wedding).

JP if you lived closer I could lend you some nervous velour I think it's called... I have some large pieces in the loft :( Not sure they'd get there on time if I posted them... we're under a "severe weather warning" for the next 36 hours by the looks of it so probably can't even post it tomorrow :(
    Bum!

Thanks for the sellers - off to have a gander :)

JP thanks for that Ebay shop - managed to get some good bargains on there - exactly what I was looking for! :D Have bookmarked them for future use ;)
I have no idea if I have bought enough but if I haven't then I'll just have to improvise LOL

thanks both, finally getting sorted with the fayres now, so just finishing making stuff. trying to focus on favours now and get some unusual ideas.

Before all this SIL and BIL were here all the time calling the inlaws but today they said we wont see them untill a wedding in may, so just shows how things are as BIL had promised john hed be over for his birthday next week. I give up, im making myself so ill, just not looking forward to the wedding cos of it all. His parents never come anyway but ill be expected to run there when we next go home.
Thanks for the offer mrs T thats really nice. I have a red cloth and im going to put some white round the table as well. Id offer to make the card for you Horace but ive only just started with cards. Ill have a look though see if i can do something for you, alot of people do them with 2 suits now rather than bride and groom. If i can come up with something before someone else offers ill post a picture for you.
Hope everyones else had a good day

JP - don't do what is expected ie. run around to the inlaws..the more you run around the more they will be the nasty creatures they are..try and dismiss them from your mind (easier said than done I know but try and concentrate on good things).

I had thought of making a card but it would be flowery as I have my stamps and stamp pads here but I havent bothered making a card for ages.

Am not looking forward to tomorrow with the snow and the faffing around at the eye hospital (I hate the waiting around).

I shall have a think about favours JP - I had thought of little bottles of bathoil (I posted a recipe on the christmas forum) or bottles of oil with herbs (its different but I fear it may be expensive).

For my wedding favours I found someone on Ebay who made me mini bath bombs in heart shapes with blue flower petals but rose scented (I love roses...) and some little glycering heart soaps too - white bottom, blue middle and clear top - think mini wedding cake style :) Again rose scented :) these work out very cheap to make and reasonable price for people to buy too... I then bulk bought unfolded boxes and put a light blue ribbon round them each with one of each item in. I don't care if the blokes didn't like them - most of the women pocketed those within reach :rotfl:

Dunno about them having to be tested... I have no idea if the ones I bought were - I know they had little labels on - hang on - I have a few in a box somewhere - let me check...

OK they have an ingredients list on the mini bags for the soaps (not the bath bombs) but nothing to say they've been tested :) No idea if that is any help :)
