HI,
Try and keep at it.
I started smoking when I was 12. Im now 36. Last December I went in to hospital to have a tumour removed from my throat. Not a nice prospect to a mum of 2 lovely little girls. Luckily it was nothing benine - so nothing that would kill me. BUT, it did shock me. It did make me think about what I could have gambled with. I stopped just like that. Yes, I do eat more choccie and yes I do still crave my ciggies at night, but I will be damned if I will kill myself on fags.
Just look at the future and of course the money you can save.
Hope this might help.Regards

Hi All,
Well I've been pretty hopeless up until now so I bought Allen Carrs book and it is having a great effect already, I really like the way it is written and the logic. I haven't stopped completely yet as he recommends it at the end of the book, but I'm nearly finished so watch this space.
Thanks to those that recommended it to me on here, I hope that this will be the way to go for me too.Quit smoking 18/08/070 -

I think I have a subconscious desire to see if I can beat the record for the most times 'quit'I keep thinking though, I've only got to succeed once and that's it. Job done.
BTW. AC book worked brilliantly for me once. It was the best quit I ever did. No patches, gum nothing and I felt really positive. Gave up for 6 months, then started again. The book didn't seem to help the next time. I became all cynical. So anyone using the AC book, make this your golden time, the one that will work :T
Well done folks!

3 days and i still have not had a cigarette. :A Not much, but I am determined to make it many more days. Every time i want a cigarette i think about the amount of £ would be spending that could go on paying off debts sooner and treats. Worked it out and if you smoke 20 a day, thats £155 per month which is £1825 per year. OMG!!! :mad:Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 086Proud to be dealing with my debts !Total Debt: Was £6368.84  now £945.36Sealed Pot Challenge 049 Aim £5000
