Smoking

I can also recommend the Allen Carr book. A work colleague who smoked had, unknown to me, decided to quit smoking. He read the book and followed the plan. One day it occurred to me that I hadn't seen him smoke in a while. I asked him about it, and he told me he'd given up.. just like that - it was apparently completely painless. According to him, he didn't have any cravings or weak moments... he never looked back.My TV is broken!

Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Hi everyone,
Just wanted to say good luck to you all! I'm also an ex smoker, can't believe I smoked now. I gave up when I was 21 and had smoked since 13. I still wish I never had though.
Smoking ban comes in in enclosed public places in Scotland in six days time - yay!

Re the Allen Carr book. I have the one for women, if anyone wants to borrow it for cost of posting. I would want it back, but can lend it out for a few months no probs. Just no coffee stains please!"I've fallen down a hole" - said in best Monty Python voice-over.0

Ive smoked for 40 years, recent tests say my chest is clear and i have the blood pressure of a teenager so work that out!
The fact is i enjoy smoking BUT-it costs me £35 per week and being in debt-18k unsecured-i want to cut to ten a day and so cut the cost in half.
Sorry if this doesn't please the smoke Nazi's but there you go, quality of life is important too and you're a long time dead.0 -
I'm on day 19. Happy happy me.
I can't believe how quickly my wheezy chest and cough cleared up. I was puffing my inhalers most of the day long (asthmatic) and still struggling to breathe. Within 5 days, I was off the inhaler
In fact, I only used it very occasionally on day 3 and 4. Incredible!
Did the patches for 2 days, had a severe reaction to them, sort of went cold turkey after that. I did put on 12lbs in the first 10 days by eating what I wanted every 2 days, but got the food thingy under control now and the weight is coming off again.
Feel fab. Want a ciggie, but not really craving. I want one and then the desire fades pretty quick and I forget about it.Cambridge Weight Plan Consultant0 -
