I'm SO glad all my stuff was out of stock after reading this.
Wins to date since Aug 2008: Book 'Life with my sister Madonna' (My 1st win!) | Garnier Eye Roll On | (Sept) Wall e Robot| (Oct) £110 worth Miller Harris Perfume!|

  • I don't know what Trading Standards think they are doing, telling you that.  It is complete rubbish.

They are required to ensure that you are in the state you would be IF THEY FULFILLED THE CONTRACT.  Refunding you does NOT do that.

If they didn't have the goods, the correct amount would be a refund of what you would have to pay to buy the item elsewhere.

As they DO have the goods, the correct behaviour is to supply them at the agreed price.

    Simply refunding isn't good enough.

This could be very useful information, what is the source?

Unfortunately by the time my invoice had arrived it was showing out of stock on the website. They had also already refunded and the £116 and changed the invoice to say 'To Follow' for camera.

The odds of it ever following I'd say is quite low...

I am only new here but when i heard Martin on LBC I thought I would look at this site to save money, however I am finding an increasing number of people that find things for free (company mistake) and then buy 5 or 10. Shockingly they then get upset when the company cottons on. we are here to save money, not to screw over companys that have made an honest MISTAKE!!!!
    Keep smiling, G.

NiceGuyG, I think you should read all the available threads about Empire/RedCats, and also about LX Direct/Littlewoods, to get the full picture of why so many people are annoyed with these mail order companies.

I tend to agree with you that large multiple orders are a bit daft, and possibly greedy, depending on the reasons behind them, but it is not simply a question of being angry because we didn't take them for a ride!

They said that to me on Monday, and i have yet to see the 30% applied back into my bank or store account.

Called again yesterday and they said the 'internet' team are delaing with it.
