Can someone give me their cs number please? I ordered 2 items - coming to £50 exactly and expected to get the discount as I used one of the codes. I am sure it was £25 off £50 spend but can't find a record of the code. Got 2 emails from them during the night saying that the order was being despatched and that they'd taken £50 from my cc. I am not amused. Emailed them first thing asking for an urgent response but well, I'm still waiting. This is the first, and definitely the last time, I will be ordering from them.

They actually sent me a printed statement stating the price of the cameras i ordered at 0.00 each. I have not yet received them however.

None of the codes mentioned on this site would work for me so I went onto the site to get a 'first' time user' discount. I completed my order putting the code in. I got the email several minutes later showing me what I had ordered and the price. It didnt list the discount I was supposed to be given. So this morning I rang the phone number listed on the website.

The operator hadnt got the details in front of her, as she says it takes 24 hours for the details to get through to the screen but then when she asked me what code I used, I told her the website told me it was 'Advert Code EIR012'. She argued with me that wasnt an advert code as all advert codes start with P. I told her that this one didnt and she wouldnt have it. If I could have shown her the damned screen I was looking at I would have done but she wouldnt have it.

Anyway, I still have to ring back on Friday, so they can see what has happened to my order to see if a discount has been taken off. I am not holding my breath though, but I will argue with them and show them the printed screen if i have to. I want my £15 off.

On that Sunday morning I ordered a Sony DVD system, total cost £209, order via Credit Card.....got the confirmation straight away.

On the Tuesday I got an email stating about the expire number, in which I phoned Empire and gave them my details again.  ::) I checked my account and the money had been debited but I still had nothing showing up in my account (regarding my order).

Phoned Empire again last Friday got told by CS that they have no orders for me but if I phoned Monday it will more likely be shown on the system.
Anyway, Monday comes I phone up........get told that they still have no order for me.......and could I give them the code of what I ordered, which I did. I then get informed that they never had that item for sale, which I argued quite strongly about and even told the woman that I have the confirmation printed out in front of me.
She said they would have to refund my card..........by this time I'm boiling and told her that basically Empire was selling false items and taking money fraudently.
Then she tells me to get in touch with the legal team.........and seeing that I actually work for one of Europes leading law firms I will be doing such.

It's now Wednesday, I've still not been refunded the money and if by Friday it is still the same I will seriously be considering some sort of legal action.

It is an utter disgrace what Empire have done and I do hope that some sort of punishment is given to them.  >:(

Yes I do but I don't know how to attach it.
Happy to post it if someone can tell me how.

I missed out on the empire sale. I didnt realise a big catalogue shop like them can be so difficult. If only more people were aiming some of this action towards LXDirect..... ::)

2 orders messed up and not resolved over 2 months later.. >:(

Received one item from Empire today.. no new customer discount though.. same as mentioned above..
