Personally I always send 2nd Class at the beginning of the redemption period (keeping a backup of the vouchers), then if there is no acknowledgement of claim receipt there is an opportunity to resend recorded
I accept that's an option, but for less than £1.50 to send recorded 1st class, I don't mind at all.
Remember, I've had an 18 month free deal, cashback from TCB and a free phone.
Evening after paying recorded post, I'm still in profit - they have paid me to have all this. OK, I've slightly reduced my "profit", but both contracts have ended 100% successfully.
Staying away for a while, unless a "silly" deal comes available - hopefully from a CPW company. No more vouchers for myself!!

The people who get "ripped off" are those who do it themselves. If you don't like cashback deals, don't use them! I've been doing tons for years and really resent those "do-gooders" who wish to protect others by denying MY freedom of choice. Anyone can do these deals successfully IF they are prepared to do the research. Those stupid enough to think they can get a free lunch without bothering too much deserve what they get - and allow those who who aren't to benefit by doing it right.
I regard THIS dealer as higher risk only because of its size. I've never sent recorded delivery with them OR had to re-send and ALWAYS got paid.
The "nanny" state of those who really don't understand how these things work would stop ALL dealers offering these deals - JUST because they involve cashback. Dishonest dealers abound in everyday marketing but currently there is a distinct LACK of dishonesty in cashback deals. I would actually prefer to return to the "darker" days when the deals weren't so easy and the rewards even greater. But, then, I do cost the dealers a FORTUNE; as do all those I look after with yet more of these contracts - the "nannys" would deny those people do, who are enjoying mobile contracts which generally cost them NOTHING.0 -
Can anyone answer my query about BMP "automatic" cashback deals? Are these risk/hassle free? When/how is it paid? Can it be used in conjunction with quidco?0

Hi, I have found their auto-cashback deals 100% reliable and it is paid after 90 days ( 3 months ).
Yes it can be used in conjunction with Quidco !0 -

Absolutely, if you prefer that level at comfort, my post was aimed more at new customers for BMP who might have dealt with some of the tricks E2Save etal may have pulled a couple of years ago (haven't used them for a while so don't know if they're as much hassle - Although I accept they're still the safest in term of risk of dealer going bust), and just to say that BMP (in my experience) don't appear to try and pull any tricks re: receiving vouchers so that standard post is OK (as long as you keep a copy of the vouchers)0 -
So, I have ordered a Samsung Galaxy Ace with them and:
1. I have ported an old number, but did not say that at the time of ordering because I couldn't select (Talkmobile as previous network). I have however contacted them over the phone, and they said there should be no problem if I ported a number. Also I have contacted them on Twitter, and their answer was, send a cover-note with my first claim, stating that the number was ported, and there shouldn't be any problems.
Q: Based on previous experiences should I worry or not?
2. I have another contract with T-mobile, and they have just added the new number to my existing account. So I will get 1 bill for my account, but that will show both my contracts with them on different pages. Also I opted for online bills (£2/month for paper bills) and I can download them as PDF and print them out.
Q: Any problems here?
3. My T-mobile billing address is and has been for over 1 year my current address, but when I go to download bill, my old address shows up in the PDF. I have contacted T-mobile and they said that is fixed now and my current address should show up on my next bill.
Q: Any problems claiming cashback if the address on the bill does not match the address where the package was sent to? What happens if you move during your cashback claim period?0 -
2. You will with that network. And no problems.
3. With this dealer you have to send ALL the bills - so a different address on one of them MAY be a problem. Moving thereafter shouldn't be provided you inform them and get their confirmation.0 -
Hi all, my gf is set on an Iphone 4, after looking around the best deal (By far) is this one: (Found here on MSE actually)
w w w .buymobilephones.net/mobile-phones/Apple/Apple-iPhone-4S-16GB-Black/T-Mobile/T-Mobile-iPhone-35-(24mths)/11613682?adnetwork=af
Thats the problem though, it seems a bit too good to be true as the offer is the same as what MBP.net's competition can offer a standard Iphone 4 (Not Iphone 4 S) for.
There is no mention of cashback (We would not be interested in all that redemption stuff, we are the kind of people who they make their money from, the people who mess it up(At least we are honest!
)
So if anyone knows, is this a simple transaction or will there be strings attached?
Thanks in advance if you can post some info!0 -
24x£35.75 doesn't look too good to be true to me. And there are many similar deals from other companies: http://www.moneysupermarket.com/mobile-phones/brands/apple/iphone-4s-16gb-black/
In fact, as the airtime costs no more than 24x£10 (chitter-chatter) and the handset costs £499, 24x£25.75 is in fact 1.8% monthly interest you pay on your 'loan' or 24% APR.
Ignoring this, I don't see any problems.0 -
Thanks for your help grumbler
All the other deals we found were one 'level' up, i.e. if you wanted the S version it would cost you £45/m I guess we were looking at the main networks offers.
Thanks again!0
