So I'm starting to suspect BuyMobilePhones are the sort of company to try and dodge cashback claims. Reading things here and the response from my cashback claim. First they seem to want to strictly stick to some arbitrary deadlines. This wasn't a problem with Phones4u who just let me do it all at once, rather than jump through pointless hoops, wasting time and money.
And now they're saying I didn't include two of the bills for one claim, which I most definitely did.
I wonder, do the staff get bonuses for denying claims?0 -
Despite suing several times this year, I have used them for a few years. I have NEVER had a claim rejected for any reason and always send the bills second class non-recorded (copies).
They may be guilty of not paying in good time (and have always taken an age) but unless this is the start of something sinister I will defend them in respect of everything except paying promptly.0 -
My last claim, which was the 3rd on this contract was paid fairly promptly, despite all the hassle with the 2nd claim. I've just sent my 4th claim this week, unrecorded 2nd class, as MJ does. I've already had the email to say it's been received and accepted.
There was a change, though. They are now stating 10 weeks, as below. I've set a reminder to send the LBA at the appropriate time if I haven't received it.
The payment will be made within 10 weeks and should show in your account within two working days.0 -
They've been saying that for some time. It's up to you whether you except a timescale which is arbitrarily extended by them.0

2nd claim paid and showing in the bank today.
So pretty quick this time - for them anyway
No excuses - well impressed!!

I've used this company for my new phone and oh my goodness it was such a mistake
I went for a deal that included a free laptop as I thought great that will do my DDs christmas present. I checked website and they said allow up to 28 days - that is fine. Hasn't arrived within that time
Emailed and they actually gave two different replies ! one stated that they were waiting on a delivery from the supplier which was expected to arrive week commencing 24/11 then another replied saying they were awaiting delivery of the stock and it would be there within 2 weeks and then be despatched out to me. So very confused has anybody actually got their free gifts? Is it similar to the cashback claims in that I will have to fight forever to get it? I am so annoyed as i chose that deal specifically for the laptop otherwise i'd have chosen a slightly cheaper deal elsewhere

I've had a lot of trouble getting claims paid by buymobiles.net.
When the phone arrived I very carefully went through the terms and conditions and worked out exactly when different months' bills needed to be submitted, and put all this information in my diary. Since then I have been sending my claims by first class, unrecorded delivery within a week of the claim date (well within the 60 days required by their terms and conditions).
The first claim was paid OK, but the two that I subsequently submitted have not been paid. I finally got round to calling them this afternoon, and after 15 minutes on hold I spoke to someone who looked at my account. He told me that my second claim (from June 2014) had been received in time, but had not been processed due to an error on their part, but would be processed today and that I would receive the money within 4 weeks rather than the usual 10 as a gesture of goodwill! The third claim (from October) had never been received, he claimed, and as the 60 days had now elapsed I would not be refunded that money.
My wife has also submitted three claims, the first was paid on time, the second only after phoning them up, and the third has not yet been paid.
Clearly buymobile.net's refund offer is a scam. My advice would be to AVOID THIS COMPANY unless you want the frustration of not being refunded money that you are owed.0 -
Well, any reasonable person would have checked that the claim was received if sending it by untraceable mail.0

Not really. I have two contracts running with them and watch over three others for people I order for. We've all had to sue, but now money is arriving as it should and we have actually gained some other advantages simply because I make sure they don't just sit there and hope. CPW has been as bad at times, though not recently. ALL dealers (except, sadly, Phones4u) try it on one time or other - IF you let them. If you do, don't complain and don't do cashback deals.0 -
Claim No. 3 in yesterday (1st class normal post) and email received today stating claim accepted and ok'd. Payment within 10 weeks, but paid quickly the last time.
I'll update once the payment hits the bank.
Not many decent cashback deals (with decent phones) about and I'll be needing one in a few months time. I don't really want one of the cheap Talk Mobile deals.
