I read if you cancel they will contact you again offering you a discount. Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.

Hi
I joined Ancestory a few weeks back as they were offering a 14 day free trial & i managed to built a tree and discover people i knew nothing about, i was surprised at how interesting i found it.
My membership has ran out now & i cant work out on there web site if i pay for a year do they take it all at once ? does anybody know ?
Whilst i was joined i was invited to another tree as a guest as it turned out this tree owner was a distant relative & there tree was all filled in with the info i would have been looking for myself !
I dont want to pay for all the information that i can get off this other persons tree anyway but i would like to build a tree too i guess.
Do i need softwear for my PC so that i can have it on my own PC and could print it all out when iam done, or can i do it on a Blog or something similiar ? money is tight but iam interested in doing this and it keeps me busy.

http://www.ancestry.co.uk/subscribe/signup.aspx
This page here says that if you pay yearly (ie in one payment) it works out at £6.95 per month*, or you could pay £10.95 on a monthly rolling contract. So I would decide whether you can do all you need to in say a month or two it will save you money to pay monthly, but if you want to subscribe for longer it might be cheaper to pay yearly.
**Single annual payment of £83.40 expressed over 12 months. Therefore an annual saving of £48 per year compared to the published monthly membership.
It's only a game

No, I'm not a member, I just googled Ancestry and clicked on "subscribe".
I've had a look and it does seem a bit complicated, I have no idea how to see how to do anything, but there are loads of genealogy websites so it's likely they'd be of some help in moving your tree onto something free. Or you could print out some of these and not bother with an online tree?

I am a member and you can pay monthly or annually and yes when your membership runs out I am pretty sure that your tree stays you can add to it I think, but not research it. As I am a member I am not 100% sure, but a quick email to them should clarify.0
