:T:T:TBig mahooosive congratulations to MFD:T:T:T
well done you! Benjamin sounds like he's getting used to the world fabulously, and great that he's a good feeder.
Really look forward to your story.
Love to you and Benjamin (Hebrew for son of my right hand literally, but this is an idiom which meant 'son who is so helpful he gives me strength to do things...' sorry to be geeky again,:o I did Hebrew as part of my degree! Anyhow, I do really hope he does prove to be that lovely strengthening thing for you, I'm sure he will!;))

I'm awake... yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn - kinda. DH was up till silly o'clock playing on his 360 with the boys (over x-box live) and I don't tend to sleep that well if he's not in bed (unless he's away - my brain knows I'm not waiting for him then
)
Roo is kicking and jigging again today - after her couple of quiet days at the start of last week she's been scooting round like a nutter since bless her.
It's strange because on the one hand i can't believe she'll be with us in roughly 9 weeks and then on the other hand I don't want to wait another 9 weeks to meet her!
Well might take DH to buy a moses basket today - seems very important to him that HE buys something for the baby too - so far I've bought everything - not because I don't want him to etc just worked out that waybut he seems to feel that he's not bought her anything yet and it's obviously important to him
Gonna let him snooze another half hour then he's getting dragged out of bedDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Never come accrosss someone being completely devestated by hearing the sex wasnt particularily what they wanted
Me - didn't bond with DS1 for nearly 2 years because he was a boy & had bad PND and HAD to find out the sex when pg with DS2 (for my own sake) to make sure I got used to the fact before he was born if he was a boy (which he was and was fab!)
THIS one is also a boy - and, yes, I wanted a girl - so was disappointed (I know it's random, but 50/50 gives the odds of 2 girls/ 2 boys with 4 children) but not as much - partly because of the CVS and before I found out he's a boy I found out he's healthy -a more imporatnt thing.
What's hard is I haven't told family teh sex and tehy all think and want it to be a girl - I wish they'd butt out to be honest
I can totally see where your friend is coming from efrieze. Time before the birth may help, although I did have the fact I had a DD as my first child. Definitely some counselling. Facing up to the issue and admitting it is the hardest - and getting someone to take her seriously. I don't think she's selfish. Pretending there isn't a problem would be far worse and more damaging. Dealing with it meas she will probably bond with DS2 a lot sooner than if trying to cover it up.
And no I didn't get pg with DS2 to have a girl - he was unplanned - I was tested for early menopause and told I'd need 'help' if I wanted another baby. As I had 2 I said no - and DH & I got careless about contraceptionI found out the sex though to ensure I didn't go through the same as I did with DS1 - I still feel guilty, but people saying 'he's healthy' etc aren't helping. I had 2 friends my age die within 24 hours of giving birth to much longed for firstborns, one after much fertility treatment. I have a cousin my age who cannot have children. WHilst I could appreciate how lucky I was to have a healthy boy it still didn't change the fact it was a boy, not teh girl I wanted.
