My computer at home has been broken for nearly 2 months so this is the first time I have posted for ages!!!! and have been flat out at work so havent really caught up, dont know how I am surviving :p seem to have missed nearly two whole threads!

Thanks for your birth story Weezl and good luck MFD.

And on the subject of chocolate that was posted earlier,,,

    THE MOST DANGEROUS CAKE RECIPE
    5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

    4 tablespoons flour
    4 tablespoons sugar
    2 tablespoons cocoa
    1 egg
    3 tablespoons milk
    3 tablespoons oil
    3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
a small splash of vanilla extract
    1 large coffee mug

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well. Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts (high).
The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!
Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.
EAT! (This can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).

And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world?
Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night

    If only we had a microwave:D :D

Shelvis, I thought tax credits just went off the child benefit system so they take your word for it and you don't have to send anything off?

Child benefit do accept the short certificate too...
I don't remember sending Chris's BCert off for anything besides child benefit and passport (and his modelling contract :D didn't get any jobs tho :()
You can't clain tax credits until you've sorted child benefit anyway so that wouldn't matter, I wouldn't say you need more than one esp as I sent short one to CHB and full for passport so didn't need to wait anyway

  • Good luck labour vibes to MFD for today

    Happy EDD to Mel!

Weezl - Thank you for your birth story, it made me fill up :o and Fergus is just adorable!

After seeing my fantastic Physio last Friday about my pregnancy/arthritis problems, she told me she would "try" to refer me to the Hydrotherapy pool, but thought it would have a massive waiting list. I have had my appointment to see Hydro for next tuesday! And it is to see a specialist Rheumatology person too! My Physio has also refered me to another specialist about my arthritis, she is sooooo fantastic and has really gone out of her way to help me, (I have seen plenty of people in the past who really couldn't be bothered, it's amazing to find someone who actually wants to help:A ).

So I need to go out to buy a Maternity swimsuit this weekend, any ideas about where is best? It has to be a shop rather than online to be able to get it on time.

    Right I have a story to tell;

Yesterday morning I woke up with very wet underwear, I mean really wet right through! I changed knick and got kids ready and took them to school. By the time I got back knicks had a really big damp patch in them again!! I wasn't sure whther my waters had gone, but just in a kind of leaky way? So I phoned midwife's office and they told me the only way to check if it was waters was to go to hospital, and there they can take a sample.

So off to hospital I went, thinking why can't they just come out and take a flaming sample!!

Was only at the hospital about 30mins, she had a look and took a swab, as well as blood pressure and urine test, and said it was just very watery discharge, and completely normal in late pregnancy. So off home I trotted very annoyed with myself for being so stupid!

With ds1 my waters broke overnight, but there wasn't very much fluid, although it was brown and sticky, so no mistaking it was waters with meconium and I went straight into hospital and was induced by drip. With ds2 I had my waters broken, but was out of it on G&A so don't recall how much fluid there was.

Anyway, today I nipped down town to get a few silly wigs and things for the kids to wear to school tomorrow for red nose day. after sitting at the computer for half hour at the most I felt a bit damp again, and stood up to find a big damp patch on the seat... my knicks were soaked through again....has anybody had this amount of discharge late on in pregnancy...I definitely never did with the other two

    Mel x

I'm the same Sami... Only sent the short to cb and the full to passport office... and never needed either of them since I think... Although we're trying to sort parental responsibilty for hubby and one of my aunts is doing a family tree... She took Aimee's and my certificates off about a year ago to copy and hasn't bought them back yet despite many messages through my Mum!

Nice to see you ems, and that recipe reminds me of 'shortbread in a mug' that I used to do... Basically flour, butter and sugar in equal amounts... (did I mention I'm a compulsive eater? Cake in a mug recipes are really not good for me lol)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I found the ones in mothercare very ugly, and ended up getting a two piece (a long top obviously:p ) from Primark. Dependant on your normal size as to whether this is suitable - I am normally a size 10 and had to get a 14 bottom and 18 top - which now does not fit me...
