Good Luck at the hospital MFD.

Weezl - he is absolutely gorgeous, and thank you so much for the detailed birth story:) It has really helped me.

Although I am now scared I am not going to be able to manage at home. Maybe I should have got the pethidine script to have on stand-by? I also only have a crappy tens machine that was borrowed to me by a friend, but it not being a maternity one, it doesn't have the boost button, so I doubt it will be much good anyway.

Thanks Glam for the due date best wishes, nothing happening here though, and I very much doubt it will. One thing I forgot to ask the midwife about on Thursday was whether they do sweeps or not...She didn't even mention them and just booked my +10 appt at the hospital?? But I am not sure how effective they are, given that a few people on here have had a few and no baby arrived!

While we're discussing gender... Hubby spoke to his mother for the first time since she went off on one about our wedding the other day... She rang to see if we'd had the baby yet... (Just cos she drank her way through her pregnancies and her girls were born months early with fetal alcohol syndrome and failure to thrive!) Hubby told her it wouldn't be here till May and she just said 'it's a girl...' Considering she hasn't seem me since the wedding day when I was 7 weeks and has heard nothing from either of us she's not basing her opinion on anything... And hubby said it definitely has to be a boy now just to prove her wrong... (And also really upset her seeing as we're thinking of naming a boy after her ex-husband lol)

We have to phone and make an appointment and take a piece of paper the MW gave us when we left the hosp,
If you google registrar and ur area (ie for me registrar wigan) you should find the details or at least a phone number :D

It is usually done at the registrar office (ours is located in our local library) it varies from council to council, but in ours you have to book an appt. Best thing to do would be phone the local council offices and ask where the registrar office is to register birth of baby:) Some also have seperate ones for births and deaths, so make sure you say you want one for baby.
