It's not that bad honest Feely - I actually found that spending those couple of nights in early on put my mind at rest about maybe having to stay in when Roo actually arrives :) The only thing I struggled getting to grips with was the early wake up call you get when the nurses feel you ought to be getting up... ehhh no... I wanna ruddy sleep thanks! :rotfl:
Whilst you're there treat it as a recce mission ;) make sure you know where everything is and how to find it, how to get people to come running etc - that way you'll be feelign mroe prepared if you do end up having to stay in when the baby arrives :)

    Stoptober Survivor
I'm here on the silly patient line thing. BP doing weird things which is worrying but at least I can read what you ladies are up to. Plus side, hospital shop sells fudge!

Feeling a bit scared and lonely. First time I've ever been in hospital overnight. Told OH not to visit, dont want him stresses incase he smokes.

Will he not worry at home too???
Sorry thats not much help, but its only one night so you will hopefully be out again tomorrow.
Enjoy the nights peace and try to get some rest:D

My best friend said something very true the otherday.
''hospital is full of people but it's such a lonely place'' how true.
At least you got the patientline thingy!

Feelie what sort of ward are you on?
I was on the actual labour ward the other night, jesus christ, all i heard was the elephant snoring, 2 women contracting and loads of screaming coming from the labour rooms!

Was supposed to be in a six bed ward on the maternity ward, but I coughed up for a private room. Got a bed, armchair and a decent sized table. Not ensuite, but got my own sink and can open the window so it isn't too hot. Bed scares me, hopefully I'll get tired enough to get in it. Back is really hurting, do have to ask them if I can take painkillers?

I think it is time for a wispa.

Yes - you shouldn't take any medication without letting them know so that they can mark your charts with dose and so on. I don't know if they will insist on giving your some of their own instead but yes you definitely have to check with them! My charts from when I was in detail down to the minute when I took or was given any meds - it's really important in case of complications...

Just ask them for some painkillers they will give you some and note it on a chart as Tine says.

Hey had anyone suffered from thrush during pregnancy? Ive got a pessery to use! Fun!

I just had it and I was prescribed a pessary by the hospital - my thrush made me bleed and I thought I was having a mc so I hope that didn;t happen to you!

I used the pessary but was very careful with the applicator.
