I know, the woman was basically saying how she's been feeling up there, now she's got discharge and she is wondring if it is a show  :rotfl:
I think thats taking things a step too far, i mean how the hell do you know what the cervix feels like, well unless you feel them for a living

heres a question, i dont know if any of you guys can answer this, i am the least experienced at work and i just found out they are hiring two new people, i was full time including weekends but i cant do those hours when i go back because theres nobody to look after seth and theres no nurserys open at weekends around here, i also dont really want to leave seth for full time working hours so would want to go part time. are they entitled to say i cant go back at all if i'm the one wanting to change what i work?

AM - stop looking on those sites full of crazy people! :naughty:

My first thought is how can they reach the foof, never mind the cervix!. I certainly couldn't reach anything once I was past 6 months!

Interesting to see how everyone's prior labour progressed. With DS2, I was induced at 4pm, labour started about 6-7pm, was dilated to 5cm at about 11pm, water broke at midnight and 10 minutes later DS arrived. So roughly about 6hrs labour all in all.

I'm not sure who mentioned induction and SPD, but I was induced at 40w4d with DS2 due to SPD. Mainly because I was having so much pain and discomfort that I couldn't sleep, and midwife and consultant were concerned that because I wasn't sleeping or able to rest comfortably at all, it would mean I might get too worn out to handle the labour. They offered, I accepted.

when i was in labour i got to 8cm and i kept feeling the urge to push, the midwife said it was cos my waters were bulging (they hadnt broken yet) and when they went i would feel relieved, in less pain and much better but i shouldnt push, this went on for ages and i was begging them to break the waters but they wouldnt, i thought it was weird cos at 8cm it wasnt like he was suddenly going to decide not to come!

Yep LouLee - although there seems to be varying views on whether you should or shouldn't use a pessary... My GP was VERY ademant that I only use the cream - strictly NO pessary
