OH had to have a cath in last year and he said it was the worst thing that has ever happened to him (and he's had a camera up his bum! :shocked:)

they thought i hadnt weed in a while and that might be blocking the exit for the placenta, even though i could tell them it was very much attached inside still!! but how on earth they thought they could tell that i hadnt weed with all that goo and stuff going on i'm not quite sure! :rotfl: it was the most vile thing, i think it hurt as much as the birth and its the only thing that still hurts now!

I'm off now gott chuck some stuff in to a hidey hole so OH thinks I've actually done something today (coz I lied and said I'd done it this morning ) then off for some of mummy's slightly bad cooking

I had my 8 week appointment with the midwife yesterday. She was really friendly and nice which was good. I took my OH but I am not sure he was really needed, but he did contribute to his family history which I had no idea about.

Also, I am booked for a body massage and spa day (as part of my hen party activities) and am unsure what to do about it. Should I cancel it, or maybe just have a facial? The MW wasn't very helpful and just said to ask the company, yet all the companies literature said to ask your GP?!

Karen, glad your appointment went well too. I don't know if anyones already said cos Ive not had time to read everything yet but Im going to Florida in May too and my midwife advised the same as yours has and she said that flight socks are free on perscription
Have you your 12 week scan date yet?

evening ticking time bombs ...
work today was alittle poo day but the day went quick so wasnt to bad... so sami ive talked you in to home birth funny thing is you talked me in to it :rotfl: OH is ok with it now as long as the midwife is ok he wants to check them out before we agree to anything as i keep seeing different ones so hes still not 100% but im getting him on side ...
ive had everyone and their mother trying to sell me things today wish they bl00dy well bog off not interested :rolleyes: ... right off to catch up hugs to those in need and big grins for all my belly friends x

I'm jealous! I'm having trouble sleeping.

Well, I had consultant appointment at 3:30pm. Wasn't worried for once - they didn't want to see me for two weeks last time, so thought it was all going well! BP is high again (170/95) so they want me in overnight. Luckily had a spare private room, but costs me £100 for the privilidge! Got to be back there at 7pm, just getting a few bits and eating some pasta.

I've never stayed in hospital overnight, what would I forget to pack?

Take a book or DS, keeps you occupied!
Do you get a telly in your room?
They can give you a sleeper but if i remeber correctly you dont want to have anything like that?
Change of clothes, wash stuff, dont forget clean knickers lol
