    I've talked myself into a HB :D
After chatting about it with Searching et al. on FB I have decided I'm gonna opt for HB and then I always have the option to change my mind easily plus more likely I can have my mum with me which is what I really want
I'm aiming for a sort of oh what was that little pain, oh feel like baby is coming, "Pop" oh hello new baby :rotfl:

    Yeah :j :j :j :j :j :j

I am hoping to convert OH!!!

    :)Still searching .....:)
  • Feelie - I know you have touched on your issues before, but I actually feel quite proud of you for being able to even think about spending the night on your own in hospital :D Good luck huni and I hope everything is OK. You seemed to have gained so much from the pregnancy and I hope that things improve for you after your bubba has arrived!

Searching - loved the 'ticking time bombs'! I bet you wake up at 3am and think oh thats a good one!! I think it's the fear of the unknown

Jillie - No I didn't buy any. I will wait for a few months yet, you know what H&B are like it will be on offer again.

Feelie - how you doing? Hope you are not too bored!

Well, I was knackered after 3hrs of walking around shops - got a work top from H&M. Will try ASDA nest me thinks, seen a couple of nice tops that aren' maternity but would be ok IYSWIM. Soon as we got home I went to bed for an hour and a half - feel a bit more refreshed now. Going to go and raid the sweetie drawer Oh and get a nice ice lolly!!

you're so wise! i'm going to ask if i can just reduce my hours rather than flexi time, unless they want to do it as flexi, but its probably easier paperwork-wise for them to just reduce my hours so thats probably what they would prefer to do. its technically a shop so i dont think team feeling will really be an issue as lots of the others are part time. i'm just so worried that i wont have a job to go back to, i cant afford to be off for the next few months let alone after maternity leave!

I wouldn't go that far :rotfl:

Flexible working is more complex than just moving hours etc
    What is it?

'Flexible working' is a phrase that describes any working pattern adapted to suit your needs. Common types of flexible working are:
    • part-time: working less than the normal hours, perhaps by working fewer days per week
    • flexi-time: choosing when to work (there's usually a core period during which you have to work)
    • annualised hours: your hours are worked out over a year (often set shifts with you deciding when to work the other hours)
    • compressed hours: working your agreed hours over fewer days
    • staggered hours: different starting, break and finishing times for employees in the same workplace
    • job sharing: sharing a job designed for one person with someone else
    • home working: working from home
Remember, this list is not exhaustive and there may be other forms of flexible working that are better suited to you and your employer.

If others are part time too then they'd be struggling to justify that you can't go part time too... and let's face it... they'd probably be finding it easier to get a "saturday" girl or whatever to cover :)

Ok this may seem a bit tmi, but do any of you feel around in your foof at/for your cervix?
Can you tell i been on the bounty website again :rotfl: they are obsessed!
:rotfl: not caught up yet but this has made me chuckle soooo much! I think I'm gonna have to check out these nutters on the bounty site!
AM the only "feeling" my foof gets at the mo is when I'm putting thrush cream on :rotfl:I know what the cervix usually feels like coz with the IUS (coil) you have to check it once a month but I doubt I could reach these days!!:p

I have no idea what my cervix feels like and nor do I have ANY desire to find out :rotfl:

Sami if you're a good girl and don't share (or show your OH!) I might let you see the unedited pics from the other night ;)

ooo mine prescribed the pessery! lol.. now im worried!
The leaflet for the canestan pessary says in pregnancy to use the applicator with care and to only use a pessary if instructed to do so by ur GP ;)
There are about 10 of us preggers who've had/got thrush in preg and I think only Tine and triggles have been told to not use the pessary, I used it no probs.
Have you been given the cream as well? I find the cream is what gives the relief quickest

I'm here on the silly patient line thing. BP doing weird things which is worrying but at least I can read what you ladies are up to. Plus side, hospital shop sells fudge!

Feeling a bit scared and lonely. First time I've ever been in hospital overnight. Told OH not to visit, dont want him stresses incase he smokes.
oh Feely I was thinking of you earlier :) My sis and her OH have just got back from Dublin and brought my mum a box of Guinness Fudge mmm I shall be nicking a few squares when that box gets opened!
