LOL! I use it in soap making (think 'natural' type soaps - all vegetable butters/ fats/ oils and herbal colourants & essential oils for fragrance. Added in a small percentage it improves lather of the bar of soap) I also have 100 kilos of coconut oil and 50 of palm oil - and about 30 liltres of pomace olive oil out there at the mo (not to mention the shea butter, cocoa butter, mango butter, etc etc etc - and I have low stocks at the mo!!)

Now... what to have for lunch... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
DO have some lamb and couscous in the freezer frm last time I made lamb tagine...
I have 2 quiche's I can't decide which to have for tea and if I should have some of the other for lunch or if that much egginess would result in smells or reversing the effects of lactulose

I like the sound of lamb tho, provided there isn't turmeric in it? I can't stand the stuff

Its is my opinion that the reason for "poor weight gain" should be explored before suggesting supplementing with a bottle.

I agree! But would also be of the opinion that the reason for the poor weight gain should be investigated before rejecting outright the advice to supplement too! So to be clear, rather than just sending the midwife away with a flea in her ear, or ignoring her advice, press for more information as to the poor weight gain, before deciding whether to supplement or not.

My friend's little girl ended up very poorly indeed, because she had lost so much weight before mum decided to address the issue. In that case, had mum followed mw's advice at the beginning, it would have been seen that baby was still failing to thrive, and the problem would have been identified much much earlier.

The trouble sometimes with reading threads like this, is that sometimes you can take as gospel what someone says meaning to be supportive, and end up not giving proper weight to what the professionals are also telling you, with a conclusion which the supportive poster would never have intended, and would not have supported had they known you irl and had a fuller picture of what was going on with your child.

Oh, it really triggers my morning sickness at the moment to walk past these! There's one in Liverpool Street station which you need to pass to get to Starbucks for their Cinnamon Swirls, so I have a regular battle between averting morning sickness and indulging my current pregnancy craving!

I totally agree with ur response to me on supplementing also
