dinner finally on! I blew the fuse in the oven so we had to pull the washing machine out to change the fuse in the plug. Started cooking - put the oven on for my garlic bread and the lights not working. That must have been what blew it in the first place. Am starving now though!!

Hey I realised that Hypnu posted about a week back to say she was back from Hols and going to read back thru but we haven't heard anything since!!

GISI - I just saw your pic on TTC thread, it's so ickle!!

Good Luck, it's sooo confusing isn't it

Are you going to use moses baskets & then into 1 cot or 2. We still can't decide :o

We've got 2 cot beds relatively cheaply from other people & bought new matresses but might still use 1 to begin with :D

Hi all :) Has everyone been out enjoying the sun today?

I've been food shopping with OH. It was a bit of a spree to be honest - I think we were in Tesco nearly two hours! Bought a cute little tshirt and dungarees set for baby, some soothers and wipes on offer. OH doesn't come shopping with me every time, but we've decided when he does we'll buy some bits and pieces each time.

I officially cannot do up any size eight trousers/jeans anymore - my longest lasting ones don't do up as of this morning! I tried on a pair of the Next maternity jeans I ordered in the Jan sales which I'd previously tried and cast aside cos I thought they were massive and I'd never fit into them (destined for eBay) and now they fit like a dream! :D

Has anyone actually been to the big Kiddicare store? Do they have just about everything out on display? OH and I are getting baffled by the choice in everything and think it would help if we could see it all in front of us - instead of looking at this website, then that website, or this catalogue then that catalogue - so I thought we might go to Kiddicare...

Just had a huge tea - half a quiche lorraine, big pile of chips and equally big pile of salad leaves, cucumber and baby plum tomatos with loads of French dressing.. yum yum yum :D Have got pure orange juice ice lollies for later too.

    Debt-free and Proud!
Sorry to just dive in and post but I've had the most AWFUL day.

I woke up this morning at 7.30 needing a wee, which is not unusual! But when I wiped there was pink on the paper. I just thought 'no no no no no no no' and wiped again - and the blood was red.

So I woke OH up and we rang the MW but she had her phone off, so I called the hospital who said to go straight in and to take a bag in case I was admitted.

I don;t know how I managed not to drive at 100 mph but we got there and thank goodness there was a parking space.

I was looked at by a Mw, and then a doctor came but we had to wait so long because they were short-staffed and there were women coming in to have babies. And all I could think was that I was losing mine.

But the MW was talking to me and I felt a kick, and then we found the heartbeat and there was that thud-thud-thud and it was OK, but I was still bleeding.

They did an internal and it was excrutiating - I actually cried, it was so bad, and poor OH was stroking my head and probably feeling useless and I was just wanting it to be over and doing labour breathing to get through it.

And the upshot is she isn;t sure what it is. She thinks it might be thrush so I have a pessary to use tonight, and she said the cervix was shut (thank you God!) and it looked like the blood was coming from the vaginal wall and not the uterus.

I have to see my Mw or GP on Monday, and go to the hospital again on thursday, and the bleeding has stopped now so I'm hoping it is all OK but I am drained and exhausted and am not sure about going to work on Monday - I know I have a stressy day ahead and I don;t think I can cope.

So, that's me today. I hope everyone else has a MUCH better weekend.

Anyone fancy a sammich with cucumber, honey roast ham and loads of salad cream?

Not as much sun today as Wed, Thurs and Fri here. Still nice but colder. Enjoyed it yesterday the most :D

Skintchick, take Monday off hun. You don't need any more stress right now. Health before Wealth. Hope you feel better soon.

MFD - thanks for posting your birth story! It was an interesting read - must have been stressful, but glad it all turned out okay.

Welcome to all the newbies - and congratulations!!

We're just waiting for our 20wk (well, actually 21wk) scan on Monday - hopefully baby will cooperate and we'll find out boy or girl.

Elle- at least you had something healthy for tea - we had pizza hut as DH ordered it as a treat - I was worried what it would do to my blood sugars, but tested okay 2 hrs later.

SB - gotta agree - going in with an open mind is definitely the way to go in. I have specific ideas of how I'd like it to go, but I usually have in the back of my mind "whatever it takes to end up with healthy baby and healthy me."

Skintchick - I agree - if it will help you to take the day off and rest and relax, then I'd do so.

Triggles, I had pizza last night ;)

MFD, sorry, I read your birth story earlier and forgot to say thank you :o Seriously, thank you heaps for the detail - it really helps to know what might happen. I was telling OH about it over a doughnut in Tesco cafe earlier :D I think I need to tell him more birth stories in future too..
