How many cute outfits has everyone been buying?

Everyone at work tells me not to buy "too many" cos everyone likes to buy cute outfits as presents for a newborn.. but how many is too many?!

I suppose it would be best to buy plain, cheap-ish packs of sleepsuits etc then buy the cute outfits once I know which size I'll need after baby comes along, but I'm struggling to resist the cute outfits now! :(

Skinty, hope you're feeling better today! I completely agree you shouldn't go to work Monday, you need to relax a bit....

Searching, I used to have a little moulter... Not a lot you can do really... My big dog was the worst... His hair used to come out in clumps this time of year... I could honestly sit and fill a carrier bag with his fuzz as I combed him... Little dogs hair was so sleek barely any came out on the brush... Just on my carpets and furniture!

Elle, we haven't bought any cute outfits really, bar 2 babygros... we're waiting to see what we have and then proceed from there... Hubbies got 2 weeks off work so will be nice to go shopping for baby things with the baby... Plus I might be able to spend longer than 4mins in a shop once the baby is out of me!

I've had another awful night with Aimee... Was up and down checking on her all night, her temp was through the roof and at 4am she came wandering into our room asking if she could have some more medicine... Don't think either of us slept after that until we gave in and she bought my Mothers day presents in at 6:30... A big teddy holding a heart that says 'Mum, I love you so much' and a bunch of flowers off the baby... And a toblerone... Which is the special occasion chocolate in this house... Guaranteed to get one for any occasion lol... Am really sad we're missing church today... Mothering Sunday is usually a lovely service followed but a bunch of daffodils for all the Mum's... But never mind... Maybe next year I'll get 2 ;)

Anyway, off to peg out and put the lamb in the oven...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Wasn't it today AF was having a sweep?

If you're around AF, hope all goes well! Labour vibes and *hugs* xxx
  • Hiya ladies!

Guess who forgot it was mothers day!!
Don't mind for me (hubby did remember!) but I haven't even posted my mum a card. That on top of a sleepless night with my bundle of joy has left me hormonal and teary!

Have only had chance to read back a few pages and my blurry eyes probably missed half of it anyway.
    ((HUGS)) to skinty
AM - I like Frankie...DSS has a friend called Francis who is a Frankie.

Elle - I have tons of bigger stuff but not many people bought me newborn - although to be honest Benjamin is living in babygros...I put him in a tigger dungarees set when we went out for a chinese on Friday but what a faff! Most of the time ease of access for nappies is what you need!!

    Love to all,

all this new mum information is really helpful.
    now i know
-why babygros make up such a part of a little ones wardrobe..
-labour- just go with an open mind
-fancy baby clothes may look gorgeous but can be impractical
-wait till baby is here before buying loads of clothes (partly why i'm not finding out as then we'll have loads of fun buying little bits and pieces)

cant think of anymore at the moment
feel free to add to list lol
