nappisan, brilliant, i'll look that one out! can you get it in tesco etc? i guess the clue is in the name lol. the only thing i could think of was vanish but i didnt really want to use it, especially round his little legs. changing time is traumatic enough for him without sore legs!

Em, the sun :D Sunlight bleaches poo, urine and vomit stains back to white.

Oh and tops with bottons on one shoulder.... bet your butt they will be sick on that shoulder! Nothing worse than undoing sick covered buttons bleugh!

Searching, I have the same problem. First newborn with Odie. He is long haired, white and is casting like mad! Plus I have lamenite flooring so it just kinda floats about. I'm thinking of getting a rug for the bouncer to sit on that will be lifted when not in use. Oh and I'm also allergic to my own dog! :rotfl: Hoovering and regular grooming should help and you just got to hope that they don't cast till baby is a bit older.

We saw inlaws for first time this weekend since breaking the news.

M-i-l asked me in a concerned voice "Did you recognise that you were pregnant from the off, or did you think you had started the menopause"

Flipping heck, I know I'm not a teenage mum, but 40 isn't that old for a third child is it? I don't think I know any women (apart from those with weird medical conditions) who have been menopausal just after their 40th birthdays!

does anyone know of a good stain remover thats suitable for newborn clothes? we've had a few poopy nappy security breaches and non bio stuff just isnt shifting it

I pop really dirty baby clothes in a bio wash to get rid of stains (or a bleach solution in the sink if the plain white ones - which I think LOs look SO cute in!) and then re-wash in a non-bio wash (but then with 5 of us there's always loads of washing & ironing going on, so it's not too much of a faff for me) (I have to confess I iron babygros - and vests/ bodysuits.....:o )

You can get gentle washing bleach (Ace?) - but it takes the skin off my hands   - unlike normal value bleach.....:confused:

Please come stay with me for a week... I'll cook loads of lovely home made food and cakes and biscuits and run you hot baths... if only you'll help me with my ironing pile :D I am starting to consider the possibility of ironing of the bedding pile but I can't see me doing any ironing of baby grows and what not... I'm just not seeing it...

Just scoffed half a box of double chocolate fingers... yum!

ok so nappisan, sunlight or wash in bio then rewash in non bio. cant do sunlight as firstly this is england and secondly we live in a flat! i think i will try washing in bio first as we have that, if the stupid machine ever gets fixed. 3rd time in 2 months its died, a different thing every time! i'm just glad its maintained and our landlord pays for the repairs! OH is going to politely suggest a new one this time, but i'm worried if they get us a new one it will be a cheap one with no tumble dryer, and with no garden we really cant not have the dryer, especially with the amount we're creating at the moment!

seth has been asleep since 1.30pm, the lazy lil booger. considering waking him for a feed but at the same time thinking it would be madness. paranoid that when he is weighed weds he wont have put on weight  i dont mind the midwives coming round, they were crap before he was born but lovely now, but i dont want health visitors swarming round monitoring things!

Pets... well... I have the eternally shedding hound here... and I kid you not she NEVER stops shedding!
I bought the Defurminator brush which if used regularly helps control the random shedding indoors. The cats are a law upon themselves and will NOT allow brushing (little sods!) so their beds are hoovered regularly instead. The good thing about laminate is that it's so quick to clean and the hairs don't weave themselves into it like carpet so once it's hoovered they're gone :)
