Good Luck, it's sooo confusing isn't it

Are you going to use moses baskets & then into 1 cot or 2. We still can't decide :o

Thanks MFD for your birth story - I too appreciate the honest facts rather than glossing over things. You were so brave, esp when hubby was sent home - I would find that scary.

Twin prams - we have the icandy pear and got the maxi cosy car seats that sit in it. It seemed the best for us - tandem rather than side by side and seemed to fold easily.

We have bought two moses baskets and have gone for the two cots option - just for the fact that we bought cot beds which they can't share as they get older and wanted macthing stuff rather than getting one bit here and one bit there.

Sorry to hear about your aunty Tine.

    Welcome to the many newbies!

Glam, tuna on occasion was my only seafood thing untill now. I look at raw fish and go yum whereas before I looked and ran to the loo! Seafood and salad cream (not together) seem to be my cravings.

Vitamins. I took my folic acid at night as I found it didn't make me ill then (when I remembered to take it). I do take a multivit with iron and magnesium simply because I was taking a multivit with iron, magnesium and starflower oil for PMT and it worked a treat. Stopped the starflower oil when I found out I was pregnant and changed to a pregnancy multi vit with iron. My iron levels at my booking appointment were good (14.5) which can only mean they are working for me. I still take them at night along with my baby asprin.

    Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh I'm back home!

My husband is very happy to see me, especially because my boobs have gone up a size since I left on Wednesday. He amused himself for a bit shouting down my shirt to see if he could make them echo, and is now making steak with bearnaise sauce, pommes mousseline and princess beans in the kitchen. A long time ago I said that my ideal husband would have no parents and have been to cooking school. I didn't go out searching for those qualities, but I'm so glad I found him.

    SugarSpun.... bearnaise.... lurve bearnaise!
We're having fajita's for dinner tonight - when I get round to cooking them that is lol

I'm feeling a bit better now - just getting out of the house to next doors watching the rugby (even if they lost :)) helped me stop focusing on loosing people which was good.
Tomorrow I am going to do some more housework but I'll do what I can and feel like and not worry too much about it...
As for vitamins... uhmmm nope... but then I have eaten a tonne of fruit and I try to have veggies loads and I do drinks loads of milk so calcium levels should be fab :rotfl: I hate taking pills unless I have to anyway and it's bad enough taking painkillers every so often for my back and hips at the moment... :(

  • Mooki - you just need to make the right choices for you and be honest to yourself. I wasn't coping and that was the bottom line for me. I needed to do what was best for myself and the baby.

And to be honest my stitches haven't been so bad - far from comfortable but a great excuse to have your feet up!!

I am so glad that I went in with an open mind or god knows how I would have coped.

And just to make sure everyone knows - you bleed loads!! I knew it and I have still been shocked by how much!

Thanks for posting, MFD. Your BS is extremely similar to Poppy's entrance into the world and although extremely distressing at the time, hopefully it will soon be wrapped up and parceled away as you now have a beautiful, adorable baby boy!

I'm so glad you went in with an open mind (did I ever mention that this is my favourite piece of advice?! ;)).

Lots of love and hugs to all three of you.
