Hmm - maybe....... I stopped feeling/ being sick somewhere around the 15 week mark (I think) - for a couple of weeks. Am now 31+ weeks and still being sick from when I get up on a morning to when I go to bed - anywhere up to about 10x/ day _pale_ _pale_ Wasn't sick with no 1 & 2 - but was with number 3 until the day I went into labour

Sorry Karen... mine lasted till well into my 18th week and it got so extreem I ended up in hospital on a drip. Mum was sick all the way through like greent... some however stop dead on the dot at 12 weeks
Best thing I found was dry biscuits in bed before even moving in the morning - not ginger ones - they just made me worse - something like rich tea worked for me. keep eating little and often through the day - eat whatever you fancy when you fancy but again Banana's are good - they will also help your potassium levels (which if your MS gets really bad can be important).

I think it's trial and error

I concur tesco sleepsuits fit chris perfectly and he always gets tight toes in next sleepsuits months before his tummy would fill them!
I know I am biased but I think my Chris looks just perfect nudey - not too tubby but not scrawny looking but in clothes he always looks a bit 'wrong' coz nothing ever fits everywhere :rolleyes:

I have no probs seeing new ebay on FFox at home or IE here at mums soz hun.

Tine I thought you'd be a devout FFox user all the techies I know say its far better?? I like FFox much better now I find it much easier to personalise

hello everyone!

baby seth is sleeping and so is OH so i've managed to get a few minutes of ME time!!:j

we were both getting really down for the first couple of days/nights cos our little man is a bit of a whinger, but night before last he went to sleep at 1am and woke up at 8am with only 2 feeds, and last night 12.30am til 8.30am with 2 feeds, and he has been a lot less grizzly too yesterday and today, thank god! i was really getting to the point where i thought i wouldnt be able to cope on my own when OH goes back to work but i think i'm getting there now. dont seem to have had any baby blues i think i've got the "omfg how am i going to cope's" instead!

managing breastfeeding quite well i think, my poor nipples are both cracked all over and when he first goes on i have to stop myself screaming in agony but after the first few sucks its ok. waiting for the midwife to come round for his heel !!!!! test and to weigh him so we'll see how good the old BF is going then. i cant seem to pick him up without him going mad and trying to get on so i'm a bit paranoid he isnt getting enough, he acts like he is starving a hour after a feed

on the clothes thing, we've found that the only sleepsuits that fit him are primark and tesco 0-3 months which we feel is a bit silly for a baby of less than a week old! when we put them on him when he was born on sunday they absolutely dwarfed him as well, his legs seem to have got longer in the space of a week! going to give up on all in ones when he's out of these and go for vests and trousers instead i think.

Ouch! Have you tried rubbing a little of your milk in to the nipple after each feed? That always worked well for me, and you are unlikely to be allergic to any of the ingredients and make things worse, as might happen with some of the creams you can buy for this. Maybe also ask mw to doublecheck your positioning while she is there, as this could explain both the cracked nipples and also that he is hungry quickly after a feed if he isn't 100% correctly latched on.

Hi emlou - glad you've found time to speak to us!

Sounds like your little man is sleeping well already - your milk must be good stuff! Its difficult to know how much they're getting when you're b/f - but if MW weighs him when she's round for heel !!!!! - you'll see just how much he's getting.

We've just been discussing b/f and routines on the parent thread - 6 weeks on, we're slowly getting there I think. The first couple of weeks I felt like she was feeding constantly (its all a blur already!), but they do settle down - honest!

And - you need to change your signature!
