Hello & congratulations Nefertare.
My first MW appointment was at 10 weeks and then scan at 12 weeks. Sound like your not too far from me. St Mary's was one of the hospitals I could have chosen, although it was the furthest of the 3. I'm in Tameside rather than Manchester itself0 -
Mrs Tine I think the best time to have your stuff ending is week nights after 8.30. Too many people go out at weekends, and by 8.30 most babies/children are in bed.
I never have stuff ending on weekends, and my mum swears Tuesday night her things always go for more because the TV is crap.

I was contemplating the Telford baby show... But don't think I have the energy to walk round it... Plus we have loads to do tomorrow...
I'm really cross with one of the secretary's at Aimee's school... Aimee told me she had a headache this morning but she didn't want any medicine and she wanted to go to school... So I told her that if she felt poorly then she should tell her teacher to call me and I would go and fetch her... The school just rang to ask if they could give her some calpol... I said to ask Aimee first, or I could just come and fetch her... Then they said they only had 6+ so could I bring some down... So I trek down there, thinking I would probably just bring her home... And the secretary with the Hitler complex is stood over my shoulder going 'have your medicine and you'll feel fine' while Aimee's crying 'I just want to go home' I ended up just giving her the medicine... But had a word with her teacher that if she hasn't picked up by lunch time to give me a ring and I'll come and fetch her... I'm cross with myself for not just bringing her out... But she made me feel like I was pandering over her... Bah... Bluddy stoopid woman...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Congrats on the newbies and Caz on your sister!
Greent - please don't tell me your builders have gone, I am jealous! I am so sick of the muck, dust, grit - you know the story! We have a backlog of jobs that can't be done until they are finished like decorate the loft and ensuite, order and have carpets fitted, move up there, decorate new stairs, landing, old stiars and hallway, order and have carpets fitted!
Who said maternity leave was relaxing? I am a stranger in my own home!Proud mother of twin boys - double the trouble and twice the pleasure! :T0 -
Right - about to start the mammoth task of listing the spare baby clothes on ebay... anyone have any suggestions what time and day would be the best for baby clothes to end on? I mean normally I try to end my auctions saturday and sunday evening - more people round that time of the weekend normally but not sure if many mummies etc would be round that time to look for baby clothes...Hi
Can I join? Since I've read the whole thing I thought I should! I'm due 7 Nov (doctor's estimate - not seen MW yet).
This is my first and I have no symptoms at all - am so worried I've made the whole thing up! I booked the appt at the antenatal clinic at St Mary's in Manchester and I have to wait until the 9th April! Is that normal? It's so long away! I'll be almost 10 weeks by then (lmp was 30th Jan).
Does it always seem like such a long wait? November is ages away! Sorry I'm not the most patient person. I'll be 26 soon so I'm sure I'll mature a bit.
Congratulations :j:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -
Well just got back from the doctors, he phoned and asked me to go in straight away.
He thinks it's just a 'pregnancy rash' but wants me to go for a blood test, idealy today but I cant be arsed, i know it's not that liver thing, I get rashes like this all the time.
So he's given me som piriton and cream, will just try the cream first.:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -
Hello My Pregnant Buddies!!!
A quick update from MFD towers before my master wakes and demands some more of my Pammy-Boobies!!
We are both doing fine, first bout of the baby blues over and done with and Benjamin is settling in with me and vice-versa.
This computer is staying on all day today and I will be writing my birth story at last. I will do a separate post-partum update and fill you in on the 'excitement' of being discharged from the hospital and everything that has gone on since.
I hope that you are all doing extremely well and I am missing you all loads - nobody told me that such a tiny thing can take up so much time and energy!!
Spoke to AF yesterday or the day before and there was no movement there...I am assuming that the situation is still the same??? Although I hope not and hope that she is just as busy with bubs as I am with Benjamin.
I will also post a photo asap.
Love to you all.
MFD xxxplease listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
There are a couple of Jasper Conran bits that will go on seperately and quite a lot of Next baby stuff that will go on seperately in smaller bundles but yeah the rest will go on in managable bundles - only way to do it! Have separated the tiny baby stuff to one side, the new born in another - now i just have to seperate the 0-3 from the 3months and up lol
The good thing ofcourse is that listing it won't cost anything now with the free listing for things 99p and under startingTegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)

Mrs Tine - just my tuppence about ebay listings. For newborn think normal auction ending times, but for 0-3 months (which is what I'm looking at currently) then I only get to look when Annabel is asleep during the day - so perhaps think about afternoon nap time???
on an ebay note - I can't see any seller descriptions on teh new format. It's driving me mad - can anyone help them reappear? None on the ebay forum has responded to my plea and ebay themselves are ignoring my emails!r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
MFD its good to hear that everything is going well for you and Benjamin. Look forward to hearing your birth story.
Nefertare - I am due on 3rd November (by my calculations) so pretty close to you. I phoned up my docs when I was 5 weeks and they made and appointment for 24th Feb with the MW (when I am 8 weeks) I thought they would make me go straight in to see my GP to confirm it. If I wasn't feeling so sick I would believe I wasn't pregnant!
On the whole sickness thing, I have had some really bad days were nothing is making me feel better, I have a routine of being sick about 7:45am the feeling sick all day (which is crap when you get the bus and then have to concentrate on work all day) until I go to bed at night. Any suggestions? I have tried ginger biccies and they aren't working at the mo. I am seriously hoping that this stops when I hit 12 weeks!!!!!Tegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)
