Can you lot stop posting your baby pics, they are just tooooo adorable and are making me want mine now! :p
Just got out a load of sleepsuits and vests to wash, but will wash them tommorrow, and then pack my bag!
Have/are you all washing brand new things too? I am.
I always wash anything fabric I buy, most of it is made in scummy factories full of fleas and then fumagated when it gets here  you don't want your bubs wearing that! (I know about this from working at a company that made baby bedding)

I'm gonna wash everything next week, including all brand new stuff.

I've bought a maiden especially to hang the baby stuff on, how sad lol!

Congrats on the newbies and Caz on your sister!

Greent - please don't tell me your builders have gone, I am jealous! I am so sick of the muck, dust, grit - you know the story! We have a backlog of jobs that can't be done until they are finished like decorate the loft and ensuite, order and have carpets fitted, move up there, decorate new stairs, landing, old stiars and hallway, order and have carpets fitted!

Who said maternity leave was relaxing? I am a stranger in my own home!

Snap! We now need to decorate new main bed & bath (inc tiling) and gloss 4doors. Then need to decorate new landing going down into old landing & hall at bottom - and gloss all 7 doors on 'old' landing (all bedrooms changed to fire doors) - before we can get carpet put down on stairs/ landing/ bedroom !! Then our current room & ensuite are being totally redone for DD to move into (ensuite needs totally redoing as is rank and we don't use it - shower leaks into hallway!), inc carpet (manky cream fluffy one in there). Then DD's room is being redone for DS1 (don't think he'll appreciate the current pink & purple!) with new flooring (laminate & large rug) DS2 is then moving into DS1's room (needs freshening & new carpet) and babe will eventually be in DS2's room (needs repainting & new carpet) When I say things need repainting, that's ceiling, skirting, walls & doors (and all rooms have fitted wardrobes with glossed doors) And then we get to move to the ground floor, where all the woodwork needs doing, as all doors have been changed to fire doors - that'll be another 7 doors in the hall and a set of double doors from lounge to dining room - and all the skirting boards.

Oh - and I've forgotten about staining/ waxing the new stairs/ skirting/ door frames in loft......

And kitchen needs repainting, as we've had some plastering done in tehre this week - and skirting boards can then be put up (none for 2.5 years in there!) and waxed (maple wood ones to match cupboards, so no way are they being painted!!!)

No doubt when it's finished it'llbe time to start decorating somewhere again! Forth bridge springs to mind!!!

Just keep telling yourself it'll all be worth it!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

  • Greent - I tired just looking at your list.

I now feel lucky that we only have new landing/stair carpet to get, decorate nursery and purchase a replacement shed.

We have just done the bathroom and tiling :D

Salesman: is ur mum or dad at home?
Friend: maybe, I don't live with them!
Salesman: can I speak to whomever pays the bills
    Friend: That's me
cue one salesman looking miffed at this 'child' who claims to own a home and pay the bills :rotfl:
