i went to pick my mum up and luckily i knew the midwife in the obs unit and she let me in to see my sister and baby! Sis is completly exhausted but so would i be after a 2 day and night labour!! managed to talk her into staying a i am worried about her having time with and bonding with baby. he was taken away as soon as he was delivered no skin to skin at all. the was gven to my mum and then my mum gave him his first bottle! i knew if she came home she would have a million visitors and thought she needed the peace and rest right now(can you tell i am worried!)
baby is georgous his head misshapen with everything and he has forceps marks all over his head too, they had to turn him as he was in wrong postion then get him out fast? am going back in tonight will post his pic on my facebook as his daddy has still not made an effort to go in(and breath.....!!)
lovely pics of the new babies!!!What's for you won't go past you0 -
oh bum gotta take Chris to MIL's now, really can't be bothered! she wants to take him to her dad's as cousin is visiting him but I really don't see why someone who runs 10K races can't push a buggy a mile or 2 across a village to save me the bother of getting carseat into FIL's car which she has to borrow coz our carseat doesn't go in her parp BMW!0

Emlou, it does sound as if your positioning is off, it really shouldn't hurt at all... The midwife should stay and watch a whole feed, to make sure he's going on and coming off properly, she should also let you know what's available support wise in your area... Or give me a shout with whereabouts you are and I'll try and find out for you...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... Oooh, please don't!!! Nipple shields can quite often make a problem worse, or create a whole lot of new problems... Do me a favour, ring the number in my signature... You will (hopefully) get put through to the nearest person to you on the helpline, they should be able to talk through positioning with you, they're trained to help over the telephone while you do it with Seth... Do it while he's not particularly hungry so he's not fretful and in a hurry to get it... If you are really lucky, you might have someone close to you who will be willing to pop by and help you face to face, but it's not always possible... And if you get a softly spoken Scottish lady, her name is Phyll, she picks up loads of calls when there's nobody available and she is wonderfulA very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... Em lou hope the mw has turned up and you have got the problem sorted, it can be a bit tricky at first.
Came on really for a *rant*
My dh is really doing my head in, he has just announced he has made plans to go fishing all day tomorrow, this just seems so unfair. I spent all last Sunday and all day on St Patricks on my own with the kids while he went fishing and have worked from home with the kids all the other days while he was working.
I couldnt even go out with my friends on Tuesday night because of this placenta previa.
Im supposed to be on bed rest, but what a joke
He never thinks about what plans I may have, well I have told him he can cancel his plans im going to be out all day tomorrow having facials, masssages and doing light shopping, but I feel so mad at his selfishness!!!
Are all men so thoughtless and self obsessed!!???

Hi all.. Hope you're all well
Very cute piccies, MFD and emlou!
I feel much better today that the other day. OH and I swapped sides in bed so we could sleep as we usually do, but I'd be lying on my other side and it seems to have made heaps of difference!I did sleep with my V pillow too, but I'm not sure how far into the night I stayed on it..
Tine, have you bought all your nursery bedding yet? I was in Matalan yesterday and noticed they have a really classic looking range of Winnie The Pooh bedding - pics here, http://www.matalan.co.uk/pages/products/003/909
I'm in a sorting mood tonight so I'm going to try to clear some of the spare room out.0
