Cheers, for an extra £5 i'll get the V4 don't need all the feature now, but it will be good for the future!

I guess not a big problem as if there server is down again, just plug the phone in direct! does it effect incoming calls?

Once you have setup your routing requirements and downloaded this onto the dialler (referred to as 'call home') then that's it. You can still make/receive calls as normal even if their server is down, etc.

It is only if you wish to make changes to your routing table or you unplug the dialler and it therefore loses all its memory then you would need to have the dialler contact their server and re-download the routing table again.

Also during clock changes (+1hour/-1hour) from BST to GMT (and vice versa) will you need to re-download the routing table again as this would re-set the time.

    I see thanks.

So the routing table is done on there website? or is this the cwclient program they mention?

It is done via the CWClient but stored on their servers. The v4 dialler then downloads the routing table from their servers. If you inform them of your routing requirements just after you have ordered quoting your order number then they can programme it for you (the first time is free - after that is chargable if you ask them to do it but free via CW Client). All you would have to do then is when you receive the dialler(s) is have them call home (download) your routing information.

If you can say hand on heart that a £15 product failing to connect to a server is one of the worst investments you have ever made...... me thinks you might be getting a little bit too much sun (or not enough), either that or you have been watching too much Bargain Hunt

Agreed it is a small outlay financially, but as other members have already pointed out it could take about 6 months to recoup the cost. So percentage wise, it could have been a bad investment, but the server is up and working now.

No, I have not had too much sun. In fact, I have been stuck indoors most days over the last 9 weeks redecorating our new house_pale_

I think I have spent too much time on this website as I am getting as fanatical about squeezing every penny as some of the most hardened money saving members.;)

Like it!!! I must say you are looking a bit pale, mind you if you can afford a house that takes 9 weeks to paint, unless you have a missus like me, you would have painted 6 different colours in that time, and none of them would have been "quite right" just as you finish. I find a quick squirt of WD40 in the relevant areas always does the trick when i find myself "over tightening" ;)

Got my R400 and the CW Client ID/PW today but have not managed to connect to the server - constantly get "unable to connect to server" message. Anyone else having better luck? Could it be something in my firewall?
