I use a clean one each day, and when done quickly wipe up the bath and sink area with it before chucking it into the basket. I have LOADS of them, and they are like nothing else for cleaning back of neck, behind ears, between toes etc, and of course face!
We use loads of flannels.
Even though I have a bath and OH has a shower daily we can still use a couple of flannels a day.
When they get old they make nice "raggy" cloths for cleaning paint brushes etc. too:rotfl:.0 -
Ikea colour coded flannels have been used in our house for many years.
Talking about chucking pee out of your window that is exactly what DS2 (17) did this summer when we had the builders in and he could not access the toilet. Needless to say it took a while to work out where the smell was coming from and then i put 2 and 2 together as he has form for playing that trick before. He had to hose down the back garden which took more water than a flush would have:mad:I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Yes.
Daily shower chez ceridwen. When I was growing up I hated the once a week bath idea - as it meant being dirty for 6 days - and eventually managed to persuade my mother that I could at least wash my hair several times a week (as I particularly hated having greasy hair).
There were never any problems with heating bathwater in my youth - it was just a question of "flick a switch and wait for the water to warm up". I presume it was a moneysaving reason why I wasnt allowed to have them more frequently.
One of the things I looked forward to for years was when I had a (self-contained) home of my own and could have a daily bath or shower. In fact I think one could almost start another thread on "what were the everyday things you looked forward to having once you reached adulthood?". So mine were - that daily bath or shower/putting the heating on whenever necessary/only having the tv on if I chose to do so/enough fresh fruit/a good choice of clothes to wear. All duly promised to myself that I would have on adulthood - and duly did so...0 -
I shower and wash my hair every other day, however I do wash my 'bits' every day as I think that's really important:DMortgage-free wannabe!0

Growing up in a warm country, I got into the habit of bathing or showering every day as you really end up needing it, even if during drought times it was just 2-3" of water in the bath, shared by the whole family, with whoever needed to wash their hair that day getting first dibs. We were allowed to top up the hot water a little bit if it got cold by the end!
Now I will shower every morning if I am planning to leave the house - and have a quick wipe if not, and won't go more than one day without a shower or bath. I find by the end of the second day I feel really dirty, and think that I smell, even if I don't really...Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0 -
When I was a kid I'm sure we only had 1-2 baths a week, but the world seems to have gone washing mad since the 80s! So, how often do you do it, and what. OS hints and tips do you have to reduce the cost?Married 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

Shower at least once a day usually twice at weekend. We have those screw in water restrictor valve things in our showers, they work well0
