Do I really need to shower/bath EVERY day??

Strip wash on the five days I'm at home, shower/hair wash on Sun & Weds, the days I go to my fellowship. I have a push-on shower unit over the bath which is very efficient and I sit on the bath board and take my time, usually about 15 minutes. On the other days I sit on the loo lid and wash at the basin. It takes about the same time but less water, two basins full, and as I'm very water conscious my metered bill is £13 a month.
The children used to be bathed every evening, when I was a child it was once a week.0 -
I bath most days in the evening. My DD every day in the morning before college. Only ever shower in summer. Love my bath but don't spend ages in it. When I was young it was a tin bath once a week on a Sunday. And there were 15 of us.0

I have a bath every other day or so (don't have a shower) and don't often bother having a wash inbetween unless I have been doing something mucky. I am very unsweaty and oh says I am self cleaning
Oh usually hops in the bath water after me but he has a strip wash more often as he has a dirty job. I think people wash far too often0 -
I am actually quite surprised, expected more money saving bath/shower avoiders heheMarried 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

I shower every other day and have a bath roughly ever couple of weeks instead of a shower. Find that's plenty and agree that for most every day or more just isn't needed for cleaning unless in a dirty job.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

I have great sympathy for you. Night sweats are a horrible thing. If you've never suffered you'll never know just how rotten it is. I've suffered a really bad reaction to drugs recently so was getting the sweating 24/7. I also take morphine and that causes me to sweat in bed.
With me not being able to use either the shower or the bath for so long it's been really hard to feel clean. I'm so looking forward to when our new bathroom is finished and I can enjoy the luxury of a good long shower again.0 -
Sorry folks, haven't read the whole thread, but i get the drift!
I shower every morning when off to work, but have to say on days off, I go without and do the minimum to stay clean (for me).
I think once the nether regions and underarms are washed ((days off), it is fine. Clean clothes are a must too on those days.
Hair I wash every day for work, but do the minimum on days off. There are great dry shampoos out there. And they keep the oily bits at bay!
Else why would they markt them for this?
Cleanliness is really something I like, but I can improvise too. Our parents generation had a bath on Saturday Night. And that was that.0 -
About twice a week. skin and hair are way too dry to wash more often. and I don't stink.0
