Great 'Best Travelodge Holidays' Hunt: Which travelodge's offer the perfect get away?

A very difficult one to answer as there are so many variables - where are you intending to go, which station will you arrive at, do you require easy access to a metro, etc etc
very rough answer:
Covent Garden is the most central, but Waterloo and Southwark are handiest for the South Bank.
To see Big Ben, London Bridge, Buckingham Palace...0 -
First time poster here... Just booked a three-day stay at Edinburgh Central (St Mary's) and Leamington Spa, in May and June - thanks to all posters who recommended these.
Any recommendations would be welcome for good cheap places to eat (esp breakfast) in Edinburgh (are the Travelodge brekkies any good?), and non-tourist-type places to visit (been to Edinburgh several times before so know most of the obvious places).
And any eating places and/or places to visit in Leamington Spa, as a first-time visitor.
Thanks in advance!'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'

Might stay in the one at Colwyn Bay in September on way to Ireland for the night. I've looked at TA and the reviews look good, but I shall wait until TL has a sale for that time of year before I book. Always like to stay on one near a town when we go over so we can get an evening meal. The Very Right Honourable Lady Tarry of the Alphabetty thread-I just love finding bargains and saving moneyI love to travel as much as I can when I canLife has a way to test you, it's how you deal with this that matters0

Recently stayed at the Lancaster Central travelodge.
Situated right in the middle of town with a tesco express in the same building and a wetherspoons next door for breakfast. No on-site parking but a small car park over the road with over night parking for £1.20
Nicely situated to visit the lake district which is only 20 mins up the road by car. Its also close to Morecambe.0 -

We have stayed at the Colwyn Bay Travelodge last summer. It is brand new and lovely and clean but Colwyn Bay is an absolute dump. It is full of pound shops and the town centre is very run down. The hotel was lovely but I would never go to Colwyn Bay again.0 -
I thoroughly recommend this hotel. Considering its "only" a Travel lodge it's more like a 4 star hotel.
There's a bar, its a great open space, very modern, card keys etc.
Basically its an absolutely first rate hotel and if ever you're North on the A1 I recommend you pay a visit.
We stayed there on a special deal for £19 last year which has GOT to be the bargain of the decade. The room was enormous, clean, extremely comfortable bed (I find a lot of Travel lodge matresses too soft & bouncy), great feeling.
I'm sure there are many others around but I will definately stay there again & suggest you do too. If you cat a room there on a deal you'd be daft to go anywhere else!!
Hope this helps somebody have a great night.0 -

booked for belfast central today, hoping its ok location wise, was there or the ibis but the £20 room offer made it too good a deal to pass by.
caernarfon is a great base for that area and as mentioned above, morrisons close by for a cheap brekkie0 -

We stayed at the Leamington Spa TL. It still has some of the old regency Hotel features such as stained glass windows and sweeping staircases, plus we had a huge room. There is a Whetherspoons pub opposite that does really cheap breakfasts and meals. The hotel is beside a shopping aracde area that has lots of good places to eat at night. Warwick castle is not far and well worth a visit IMO. There is a nice park a few minutes walk from the hotel also (they also had tours of the are going from outside of the park), plus there is an old bath there . There is free parking after about 6.30pm on the Road in front of the hotel, but during the day it was expensive. We did find a Road that had part yellow lines along it that stopped and no parking restrictions during the day some 5 minutes or so walk from the hotel. Soryy can't remember the name of the Road, but well worth driving around to find it to park up.0
