Which one is the Edinburgh Central one please - the one at St Mary's Street?

Yes very handy from the rail station and just off the royal mile.

Good. There should only be special hotel rooms for pets. I suffer from allergies and let's be honest even when a fee is paid the room is often not specially cleaned after a pet has been there - even in top hotels. Misery and disruption to life caused by dog hair has affected me for weeks when I've been caught unknowingly by contact when a dog has been in a room before me. If people want to travel with their dogs or other pets and if hotels are prepared to accommodate this, then I believe the only sensible policy is to allow pets in certain particular rooms only which are never offered to anyone who mentions they would prefer to avoid a room which has been occupied by a pet. I do think pet owners sometimes underestimate the issues that unfortunately others can suffer from so perhaps thisi could be a compromise. PLEASE don't underestimate the misery this can cause.

I think this is fair enough as no beast should come before a human and we genuinely love our dog.

I had an email on Thursday night about £19 rooms up to April but I am having problems finding any
I trawled all through for York until April and found three rooms for Tadcaster at £10 :( and only one for kendal

Has anyone stayed at the new one at Morecame?

I've just had 2 x £15 nights at the one at Hickstead, just off the A23 in Sussex.
Bit worn, but it was clean & warm.
    There's a BK & a Little Chef (not closing) & a garage on site.
Went to Wakehurst Place (National Trust / Kew) on the Saturday which is beautiful.

  • Hi

    Just to add my recommendations.

Stopped here en route to Northumberland for one night last October with the wife and kids. Got the room for £tenner:money:. Room was huge, clean and well decorated. Bathroom fine too. Took the kids to Pizza Hut just 5 minute walk away. Can't believe what a steal this was, almost felt guilty!

Also stopped at Washington A1(M)S on the way back for £15. As you'd expect with a services stop, room was compact but still clean, tidy and quiet due to x3 glazing and can't grumble at the price.

Any reviews of Taunton or Tiverton out there?

No but just booked it for a Sat in May for the Bristol vegan festival. I nearly booked the Fri but thinking it might be in the next sale? It was £32.50 which is good for a Sat night.

Looks close to the train station, mainly good reviews on Trip Advisor.
Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

    Hi everyone
Planning to book to stay at a TL in Wales soon - to visit snowdonia/ffestiniog rail journey/castles ect
Seen the odd comment for Bangor/Caernarfon/Porthmadog - anyone got anymore info on any of these to help me decide?
I have a baby and a toddler so looking for most suitable for young family - clean, safe, nearby parking, preferably near supermarket/cheap places to eat out
Many thanks to anyone who can offer any info :D
