we've been to many travelodges and not had any bad experiences.
This year we're going to a few different Travelodges as part of a whistle stop tour of Britain.
Has anyone got any views on
MANCHESTER TRAFFORD PARK, PONTYPOOL, LONDON CATERHAM,DERBY and RETFORD MARKHAM MOOR.
We.re also staying at Cardiff Atlantic Wharf which has good reviews from peeps here and preston central which has the opposite.
But as we have the car and intend on doing a lot through the day all we want is a bed for the night.0 -
We had a great weekend in Kent recently - stayed at the Maidstone travelodge which opened earlier this year; the rooms are clean and fresh and the hotel is in a great location right on the riverbank only a few minutes walk from the town centre. There is a well stocked large bar area that also does food, though being so close to the town centre there are plenty of good restaurants nearby.
The Newport, Isle of Wight Travelodge hotel is also modern and clean, but you need to be quick off the mark to get hold of rooms in the 9quid offer. Fantastic location but remember that you also need factor in the cost of getting across the Solent!!
Can also recommend the Buckingham travelodge which is modern and clean, again only a short walk from the town centre and adjacent to a large Tesco (but then where isn't these days!!) - handy for stocking up on bits and pieces (ie wine) after normal shop hours. There is some great countryside to explore (Stowe landscape gardens for one) and Buckingham itself is well worth a visit.0 -

We stayed at Markham Moor at the end of March on our way to Skegness. This was my first visit to travelodge and I was very surprised. The room was very clean and large and the receptionist was helpful. If you are staying with children they put you on the ground floor. The rooms at the front of the hotel are the quietest as lorries go around the back of the hotel to the nearby lorry park. Hotel is next to a little chef and a garage and opposite is a macdonalds which we used for breakfast the next morning.
Overall a pleasant stay and I would definately book there again. hth0 -
Over the past few months I have stayed in Travelodge and Premierinn both in Swansea. Travelodge served it's purpose and no complaints with the accomodation. Premierinn was better but cost more. I stayed at the m4 Swansea Travelodge. Just booked a room in the Swansea city centre Travelodge in September for £9 . Hopefully this room will be as good as the other Travelodge if not better. The normal price for the city centre is usually a lot more than the one in the m4 so fingers crossed they aren't sooo busy that it's not kept clean and tidy.0

Hello everybody,
Just wondered whether anyone can help me with something. I booked one night at the Bournemouth seafront Travelodge in the sale to take the kids to the beach for a couple of days. Then when the Sun Holidays website opened I managed to get four nights at a Haven park but the dates collide! The Travelodge room is non refundable, so I was wondering whether it would be possible to let my parents have the travelodge room as we won't be using it now?
Thanks x0 -

No problem. Just let parents turn up and quote booking number and then they will be asked for the name and address for security purposes. That's it- TL do not request proof of identity as the rooms have been paid for. Many (if not most hotels) only take the CC number in case of a no-show and payment must be made when you arrive."If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools"

Thanks terryw - that's great! At least it won't go to waste!0

Kinross travelodge is spotless, very quiet service station out front and out the back it's a garden centre with view of distant hills and rabbiots hopping about outside. Very quiet and great as a base when visiting Edinburgh if you are travelling by car.0

Anyone know what pubs/places to eat there are in and around the travelodge near Gatwick airport ? We wont have a car, so will have to be within walking distance or bus ride away.
we will be staying there for one night in June, and looking for something casual to eat in the evening,- something like a pub meal would be ideal.
Is there a wetherspoons here, does anybody know?
Dont really fancy eating in the travelodge itself in the evening.0 -
Just back from 4 nights at Mansfield travelodge
We had an excellent time, good location, we went to sherwood forest and then to matlock bath, tesco express next door, and an independants bakers, also on same site as frankie and bennys so made eating out very easy.Always on the hunt for a bargain0
