We recently stayed at Acle Travelodge. The rooms were nice and we liked where it was situated. It was approx nine miles one way to Yarmouth and nine miles the other way to Norwich. Also there was plenty of free parking.Cant wait for next Travelodge sale.
We have stayed at a lot of Travelodges and the worse was Basildon where the bins (with nasties in) had not been emptied from last guests ugh!
They are well on way with new one they are building where I live Clacton.0 -
Anyone stayed at Caernaerfon T/L?
Any hints on quiet rooms, or advice on best parking (and any charges) would be welcome as we are there over Easter.0 -
we have just got back from a nights stay at the travelodge in kew, and it was a great place to stay. The hotel was clean and tidy, and newley decorated, and now has a bar/cafe. its right on the river thames(though we couldnt see it from our room) it made a lovely walk to the train station.
we managed to park our car on the road just outside and left it there for the 2 days we were in london, with out paying so that was bonus, otherwise you can pay £5 and park it in the tl carpark for 24 hours.
very near the overground and underground stations that go to victoria station in londonin about 25 minutes, the underground also stops at south kensington station which is the stop for the museums (v&a, science, and natuarl history)
i would recommend.plus got it for £29! on the door price £850 -
This is one to avoid, unless you can find somewhere else to park your car as it costs £20.00 !!!! per night unless you can get one of the discounted parking places which cost £7.00 per night !!:mad:0

You need to be more specific claire; as there is more than one T/L in Blackpool, and the reviews on Tripadvisor vary wildly as to which is good or bad.0 -
My only niggle (and it is a niggle, not a big deal) is that the TL Gatwick Airport is actually at Crawley which is about four or five miles away. OK, if you have a car with you, but by public transport or taxi it can be a bit of an expensive pain. But then Ruinair, send you to airpots which are 100 miles away and in a different country!
I've seen several references to the TL Gatwick being at Crawley which really puzzles me. I've stayed there loads of times, it's approx five minutes drive (maybe 1.5miles) from the terminals (it backs on to the North Terminal runways not that it was noisy at all...apart from the numpties there on our most recent stay) which is about as close as you can get unless you want to pay circa £150 for the Hilton or Aurora! Also discovered the Airparks which is 1.5 miles down road from TL Gatwick which was perfect for us. I'm a big fan of the curry they do in the cafe
That said I guess TL Gatwick could never be described as the perfect getaway TL, just one that gets you to your perfect getaway!
Also, am so glad I started reading this thread as I never realised TL took dogs! Sorry all those anti/allergic people, but this is going to be a real life saver to me in breaking up long journeys!0 -
Can anyone confirm the deal with kids meals at Travelodge?
I've booked adult evening meals online but no facility for entering kids?
Some Travelodge have let kids eat free as we'd paid for adult evening meals but others charge!?
This works out more expensive than the adults!
I know kids eat free at breakfast but cant seem to get an answer regarding evening meals.
Anyone know correct T/L policy on this?
Cheers!0 -

hiya,
it was the south shore blackpool travelodge,
there was me, my husband and my dog.
checked in early which was no problem at all and they were very helpful.
lift stright to our floor,
room was very clean and tidy,
excellent bath - ran very quickly and room heated up lovely,
reception area - clean tidy, nobody bothered us which is what we loved ( espcially as my hubby has mental health probs so when he walked down he didnt have any confrontation which was great for us)
no problems taking our dog, all the staff were very friendly,
we took food and drink from the bar up to our room ( one of the staff even helped open the doors for me) lovely food, excellent quality.
the part we loved the most was that nobody bothered us, lovely and peaceful.
in all our costs was:
£9 per night
£20 for our dog
£10 to check in early
£5 per night parking (secure parking with cctv )
blackpool town was lovely, some kind shop owers even let us take our dog in while we had a look around
