This is what LIR was bidding on on Ebay & wanted to pay for on collection, but thought it wasn't working:

I have always wanted a Bell 47 though. It was one of the things I sacrificed in our ''fantasy list sacrafice'' where dh and I each banned activities for the other. He ruled out me ever learning to fly a helicoptor and I ruled out him diving with sharks. (both things very unlikely to happen but on our wish lists.)

But at least you have come on a pace this summer.

What is the weather like up there? Here its quite mild again....such a weird year. I'm reassured that winter can't last too long before spring comes in and kicks it out no matter how cold it gets now.

It's blowing a gale but quite mild - we had to go East today & outside supermarket in Inverness the Red Cross were giving away bags with ice scrapers, wind up torches & leaflets in them telling people tp prepare well this Winter as it's supposed to be another cracker.

The wind up torch is a good 'un - you sort of squeeze it & it's blue neony looking beam.

We have made good progress this miserable Summer despite the weather, but we are skint - although we just ordered a winda for drop down gable as we can't do the roof sheeting until that's in place - well we could but wouldn't be a good job to go over the tin to put winda in. All the windas we've got from a brilliant company that makes them to our spec.
