thanks....my pm thing is full again, so will have a delete session, but no.....told us ''in working condition'' so slightly different to what said to you. I'm getting cold feet, but it IS the most beautiful I've seen. I like the one you sent me the number for too...and they are more upfront....oooooh, decisions!0

ok, I think we're going to leave it. Its too much money to gamble. I'm really sad, its the first one I've seen that I really love, but I think Alfie is right, its too vague. He said to us that it worked, to her he said he's not used it.....
I'm really unsure, and if unsure then its not right...right?0 -

I wimped-out today and stayed indoors most of the time, but I had excuses. Firstly, I experienced a very weird thing where my eyesight went into a psychedelic spin, lasting about 15minutes. On Googling, this turned out to be a classic 'silent migrane,' so now I'll have to be checked-out to be sure it wasn't a mini stroke. I don't think it was, 'cos I felt fine......Scary though, as I'm not used to hallucinations.
Then a friend who's just bought an 11 acre property called, so it was nattering time for 90 minutes.
Next, lunch. More nattering to process the earlier nattering.
Finally, in the afternoon, a builder and an architect came to appraise the homestead. I think one scenario was that we should pull half of it down. Failing that, we might pull the top off and build another floor.
Anyway, they went away with promises to produce 'a range of options,' while I was left with a promise to dig three trial holes for examining the existing foundations.
Huh? I somehow just committed myself to 3 more pits, remarkably like the ones I did for the polytunnel!0 -

rhiwfield - a dose of organic cider vinegar in the hens drinking water helps them through the moult - if you do it for 3 days diluted 1:50, it really makes it less protracted.
We went to go to Ullapool this evening & a few miles down the road saw something lying in the road - it was a hind - and then noticed a woman wandering about with one shoe on - stopped & she was in a right state & pointed to her car - which was down a deep ditch on its roof. She's hit the deer, spun off & managed to drag herself out of the upside down car. She wanted to phone her husband. I managed to settle her in the back of our car - OH went to check her car as we wern't too sure if there was any one else in it. I dragged the deer off the road & made sure it was well & truly dead first ( which thankfully it was). By that time someone else had stopped who had a mobile. Poor woman couldn't dial the number but at least she knew the number. Another couple stopped who were going in her direction & they offered to take her home in their car.
We came back from along the road about an hour later & passed a fire engine & also an ambulance. And then when we got to the ditch a police car blue light going. We stopped & said we hadn't contacted anyone as we thought her husband would deal with things. But she'd been taken to hospital to get checked over as she had a bang on her head.......Folks must have seen the car & phoned the police........OH said at the time should we contact anyone & I said leave it to her & her hubby when she gets home to decide.0 -
