    harum

i meant language wise, not mileage wise.

i am guided by actors eg Patrick Stewart (shakesperean actor) who says that for authenticity you should speak a combination of west country and yorkshire, as these dialects have changed the least since the middle ages.
Freedom is the freedom to say that 2+2 = 4 (George Orwell, 1984).

No Blog update for a while, but choille was here on Wednesday, so don't send out the St Bernard just yet! Sometimes I'm away that long, if there's a lot going on at the ranch here. Not often though.:o

Planted some peas in pots today and parsnips in loo roll inners. I want to improve the spacing of those, but I'll still sow a row freehand, just to compare.

Meanwhile, out at the front, I've begun putting in a windbreak next to our sales area, but I'm out of condition for digging post holes. That's made me really hungry, but I can't have sausage, egg & mash for dinner, cos the eggs have all gone!

The books aren't a great surprise, as anything that goes back to 1767 and is still complete in 10 volumes must be worth something. I was told a long time ago that the rarity of complete sets had increased, because people had cut the printed plates from these books and framed them.

Hmmm...there's a few more things in that attic! Time to dig out all the old rock concert memorabilia from the 60s/70s perhaps? I have an unused ticket to see Pink Floyd at the Royal Festival Hall, for example. (Forgot to go! :o:mad: Don't say the obvious!:rotfl:)

I will def not forget... cant wait to be the oldest rocker there in the 'mosh pit' lol, and i should imagine my teenage boys will be dis-owning us for the night ( except in the pub, before we go into the cia...lol..)

You will have to let us know what rock memorabilia you have or maybe selling, as i am sure my kids will be interested....

    I've been Money Tipped!
Founds some of my lovely lettuce seeds today from italy. Its a fairly chicory-ish taste...bitter.... but the most beautiful lettuce I've ever seen. I hope the seeds are still viable. :(

well i am having an early night as im "doing" an indoor car boot sale tomorow.. i bravely went into alien territory tday....my garage ! i am actually embarassed to say that not a lot was up to car boot standards !!! i need to have an impartial person to "help" me chuck AWAY most of it...ie bonfire/tip/sell...
anyway iv got some good bits, some cheap good bits and some "please take for 10p" bits !! so we will see. nite all.
  • Well transported loads of junk (yes real honest to goodness stuff that no one could reuse/recycle/put to another use). Greenhouse is looking great, so it's just a matter of putting staging back and I can start to sow :T:T:T:T

Picked up some cheap seed tray inners of 24 cells (they were 3 for £1) and the cells aren't a bad size, quite deep unlike some I've seen. Should be ok for cells as I've some ancient propak polystyrene trays of cells which must be at least 15 years old. They are a bit tatty now, but still do the job, you can't get them now I don't think but they are great for keeping the roots a bit warmer.

Sun actually came out today, so hope it's the same tomorrow. Happy sowing everyone.
