What a rubbish day I have had (sorry for moaning) work was hard going, the whole world seems to have transformed into a giant sheet of ice and my child care costs are going up an extra £40 a month which I can ill afford to pay! Not huge things in the grand scheme of life but those things combined with others that I don't want to post about are enough to leave me feeling frustrated and demotivated.

Huge things, don't undervalue your obstacles. Take care.

CTC - I really should do my ebay research as I have stuff I could sell on there once I get the hang of the thing. I have old shop stock boxed up somewhere in the shed that I should get rid of - old compacts, jewellery - bits & bobs & old linen that I won't use personally.

LIR - The wind chill is stunning out there today - it's ripped a big bit of building paper off the house & it's cracking & flapping annoyingly.

Rummer - sorry you've had a carp day. Everything seems to be going up cost wise.
You're not moaning just stating facts.
We're nearly at the shortest day. I don't really clebrate Christmas but think the Winter solstice has importance for me - I usually try & light a bonfire outside (obviously - can't be burning the caravan down, just yet) Not that I'm into running round it in the nudy, just think it's a time of putting the old year to bed & looking towards the light. Doing a bit of reviewing, plotting & planning.
Sat here with a cup on the stove my knees burnt & a cat either side listening to the wind & hail rattling against the metal is somehow kinda nice - in a perverse way.

  • Rummer....sorry you have had such a poo day.... have you noticed things allways go up in price at the wrong times:mad:

really hope you have a better day tomorrow... (((hugs)))

Choille..... linen can fetch good prices on ebay.... but if you have it in the shed be carefull you dont get the dreaded brown spots...

if you have any linen with a crinaline sp? lady embrioed on it.... they are selling well on ebay..

If you havent sold anything on ebay before... i wouldnt start off with your best bits... and start off with low value items... as buyers will be a bit reluctant to buy an expensive item off a new seller.. plus by starting off selling the cheaper few quid items you can use them as learning tools, plus to get your feedback up...

while you are learning, you will make mistakes... on postage costs etc, plus make sure you discribe the item to a T... dont leave any marks or flaws out...

If you can get a nice trio of scots dumpys this year they eggs were fetching a good price on ebay..but make sure they are fertile before you start listing any...

I would def buy some scots dumpy eggs off you...

Interesting with the crino lady stuff - that used to be so common. I can't remember what is where & probably all mouldy. although I'm able to pick stuff up when I go charity shopping.

I broke my ebay cherry on Sunday past & listed 2 tops that I got out of charity - one new still with label, one not. It was a fitter & took me a long time to sort it out, register etc. I made mistakes - photos not too good, but I have offers on both - only 99p on one of them but it is a start. I need to do this.

I have two really good registartion plates that I should list when I know what I'm doing as they will bring me in good money, not pennies.

Even thought of doing the mucky phone call thing.............................panting & groaning, like I do when I stand up & me knees hurt................
