Morning all,
I second the lack of energy thing, I'm so tired all the time I started to think there was something really wrong with me but maybe it's just a seasonal thing. It's taken me a good half hour this morning just to catch up with you lot! Hope everyone is feeling a bit more chipper today.
Love all the ebay etc suggestions. My parents house I'm sure is a treasure trove, but it's so full of stuff those things will have gone back out of fashion again before we'd be able to find them!
I used to be a biker too (my only vehicles for 10 years), and had a GpZ500S as well which I loved! Now I have a car so as to tow trailer, cart around loads of timber, horse feed etc and daughter (legs not yet long enough to reach footrests!)
Oh and the cold house - I sometimes go outside as well just to see how it feels, and some days it really does feel warmer outside (once I took a thermometer to check - it was exactly the same temperature outside as in, but sunnier outside!)
Got to go and sort DD for school, hope this cold spell that's coming is not too bad for everyone.0 -
Well, done the basics, but not sure what to do about the rest. I'm going to get back out now, after this coffee but the sky is apocalyptic....its so grey, so heavy so dense that I can't quite believe it won't come crashing down upon us.
In fact, you know, I don't think I will......I think it might be a conserve strength day. Anyluck we'll get snow to cover all the poop up and then I can pretend its not so dreadful for a while0 -

I got two wheelbarrows done after that post, something is better than nothing. Unfortunately I tripped in a hole and sent the last one flying, so picked up all over again!:o

Wehave blizzards & a biting wind - just in after the battle to tie a gate open & give the sheep their hay & pellets & shut the hens in. It is sooooo cold it would cut you in two. It's the wind that's making it absolutely bitter.
Was at elderly neighbours earlier - OH had run her to the medical centre earlier - he - her husband, was desperate for us to take a drink & I was damn sure I didn't want alcohol - he got almost offended. Well gonna get myself a cuppa.0 -
its been raining here to LIR, but it has stopeed now, but its bitterly cold...
Choille, where you live must be like a double edged sword.. absolutely stunning in the summer and and extremely wild in the winter...
I am going to be totally nosey now:D where did you used to live before? and why move to a remote place, where you get battered by the elements in winter..? and also why
I know its a nosey question, but its really nice to hear people's storiesWork to live= not live to work0 -
Always had housing problems where we lived - bad rented cottages etc, spend loads of time doing them up only to have to leave as landlords sold or did rent hikes. Lived low land scotland but came up on holidays since a child & was able to afford to buy up here.
Had a load of unforseeable stuff happen these last few years that have delayed house build & cost us a few thousand of our build budget. If I could I would move abroad right now as I am fed up with being cold & cramped.0 -
Still no snow I don't think. But that wind has picked up and is viciously cold.0
